Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in Lancaster

This kind of place is fine depending on how the staff run it. I do want to say though sadly most of my experience has been with the night staff and it’s been horrific so much so that I’m actually making a review about it now if you try calling them to confirm that they’re open and have the donuts or food that you want, 24 hours they will simply pick up the phone and hang it up so they ignore calls. And even though they’re open 24 hours, they don’t serve 24 hours. So you’re lucky if they have what you want at the time you go in assuming they’ll even serve it to you because from what I understand, they won’t make anything that isn’t already made so no sandwiches no bagels nothing but whatever donuts they have there at that moment and they don’t seem to make donuts until later in the morning like around 4 to 5 if you’re lucky. Have to say that when it comes to the employees it’s pretty unnerving to have the employees scowl at you such as if you’re bothering them by coming in it’s very disappointing. I used to go here quite a bit during the day but coming here at a different time has completely ruined my experience. Makes me really appreciate when a place is run...

I just left this Winchell’s location on West Avenue L in Lancaster and this older Hispanic man ripped me and my husband off. We initially asked him how much a dozen donuts was and he said $17.99. As we were choosing our donuts, we chose three large size twist donuts, and he said those were $.50 extra when we went to the cash register he charged us $23.49. Now let’s do the math $17.99 + $.50 times 3+10.75% tax equals $21.48. I’m uploading a picture and a video of our box of donuts and in the picture you’ll see the donuts were all regular size except for three. If this is the type of business, you guys are running at this donut shop. Well you just lost a new customer. Consumers beware that they’re dishonest people working at the donut shop. And also by the way, the place was very unclean. The man’s apron was dirty. I really was going to turn around and leave. I’m disgusted by my entire experience tonight I really want to throw my donuts in the trash. Also my picture looks like the circle donuts are large, no they’re regular size and the man told us only those large twist...

My daughter and I stopped by Winchell the other day because if you grew up on their donuts you know the quality is one of a kind. The Winchell is always clean this experience was a 10 plus the gentlemen that help us was very friendly and made me smile and laugh all at the same time. He had a lot of patience we us it's always a hard job to pick from the yummy selection. We finally pick our donuts and he keep that smile and great humor throughout the whole transaction. Love great customer service when you find it we should always share with others. Many hat tips on this purchase of donuts and yes are divine as only Winchell taste...
