China King — Restaurant in Lansing

Horrible food. I ordered the sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, and spring rolls.

The sesame chicken was like the cook microwaved his leftovers from 3 days ago, and seasoned it with yellow mustard. I've had leather belts with more moisture content.

The shrimp fried rice did have shrimp, and it was rice, but was briefly shown a blurry picture of a skillet before being thrown into a microwave. The entire dish was the same shade of pale yellow/white as my chopsticks. Not a single speck of browning to be found.

The spring rolls were comically small. Barely bigger than a Li'l smokey sausage. They did at least taste like they had been fried though. Although I suspect they got that correct entirely by accident.

It takes a special level of commitment to ones craft in order to screw up this badly. I have legit had better meals from Panda Express, and microwave frozen P.F. Changs compared to this place. I will sooner dig threw the garbage behind Tractor Supply for a meal before I...

The food is great, no complaints, but I just had ordered over the phone and the young lady taking my order was insanely rude. Trying to rush me through the order, cutting me off, and speaking in such a low, monotone voice I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. She even got upset she had to repeat herself. Mabey if she spoke louder and clearly she wouldn't have been in that situation. Just a thought. This is not the first time I had to deal with her. Its getting quite annoying. Again the food is great, best asain cuisine in the area, but to be treated like that is bad for business.

Tip to the owner: Try to teach them how to take over the phone orders and not sound so miserable. If it wasn't for that the fact that I have frequented this establishment many times I would have hung up and ordered...

Online ordering was easy. Took food 1.5 hours to arrive on post.once arrived, delivery driver was very kind. Order was missing sauce to Mushoo Pork. I called restaurant, lady was rude as if I was putting her out asking for the sauce.i asked for refund of just the mushoo pork since its like sweet and sour chicken with the sweet and sour sauce. They said no rudley and would rather send their poor driver back with the sauce. We didn't want to wait another hour at least and told them no don't bother we'll just write a bad review, her reply... okay! UPDATE: manager called and was very apologetic.
