Econo Lodge Lansing - Leavenworth — Hotel in Lansing

This stay was related to business active duty military; first to help other travelers out we checked in the place had a terrible smell of Indian curry scent everywhere. The photos on the website of the hotel did not replicate how the rooms looked at all. The beds are terrible, small and springy and did have bugs in the hotel room primarily in the beds as my wife looked. The room quality was horrible compared to what you would pay for a much better room do not stay at this hotel. We had to relocate the first day we were there and they would not refund our stay was terrible; we were there less than 15 hours and they charged us for 48 hours worth of lodging. I explained the issue that we had to relocate from Kansas to Missouri and they refused the refund the same day. This place is all about money and the service is beyond terrible. Disgusting hotel; poor amenities; and just terrible customer service; especially in regards to a active duty military family that had to check out immediately upon check inn. This hotel should be state inspected due to insects, and lack of cleanliness. I highly recommend staying on post, or anything besides this hotel as this was beyond horrible for my family to stay in the room for the 12 hours we were in it. The front desk was terrible when I explained the situation that we were in the wrong state and had to check out right away. The first thing she said was no refund. Please take this review seriously and do not check into this hotel, nor make reservations online with them. I plan to make further disputes to get them state inspected due to the overall sanitation...

Our stay began with reservations through ChoiceHotels.com for pricing and availability. We then contacted the hotel that same evening and spoke with Linda who confirmed our stay was booked. We then conveyed to Linda our two primary requests we must have in order to finalize our planned stay with EconoLodge, Lansing.We required a non-smoking, ground floor room for the two of us. Linda assured us our requirements would be met without any problem(s). We arrived and were greeted by the owner/managers, Derrick and Maya, who were absolutely delightful. We always request to see our room prior to bringing any of our personal items into anywhere we stay as we have actually had occasions where our basic needs were not going to be met as agreed to in advance. My wife is highly allergic to cigarette/cigar smoke and immediately can determine if the odor of smoke is at all present and if so, it does not meet her basic need. Our room.was perfect as was our entire stay. The management and staff was dedicated to making our stay a pleasant memory and a place we will want to visit again, which we certainly have plans to do. We observed the manner in which our armed service men and women were accommodated and many other personal observations made during our stay.
