Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Lansing

I usually go shopping at the store but I'm very disappointed. I purchased apples from the store for Thanksgiving dinner a specialty salad that I make. All of the apples were bad and had worms or something in them. I was unable to make the salad on Thanksgiving. I contacted the store not to ask for a refund not to cause any issues but to let them know that they had bad apples. But instead of apologizing or just say I'm really sorry that you had that experience at our store Nicole decided to ask me questions that like if I'm sure they were bad or did I buy them at that store?! Not good customer service I would have preferred if you would have made me feel like a liar. It would have been better Nicole had you been trained properly to respond with "I'm sorry you've had that experience at our store and I'll make sure next time this isn't something you or another customer will have to deal with". That's how you respond to a customer when they have an issue at your store do not accuse them or make them feel that you're accusing them of not knowing where they shopped or if they...

I had the best experience at gordons today!! I am handicapped and have trouble walking and standing for long periods of time. the cashier named Meagan was such a doll!! she was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I had quite a big order that included heavy cases of drinks which I had trouble getting them into my cart and I kept thinking to myself how am I gonna get my groceries into the car.after I had checked out the cashier Megan offered to load my groceries in the car. I was so relieved when she asked if I wanted some help because I knew how hard it'd be to get everything in the car. I like gfs because I dont have to purchase a membership. Sam's and Costco do have unique offerings, but it isn't worth my $45 a year. Also, my family has shrunk to 2.5 people so I don't have to buy in large quantities anymore at the rate I did when the kids were home. Gfs offers a good quality product, perhaps slightly higher in price, but hassle free, dont have to worry about having my card on me.
