Greeted at the drive through by them saying they didn’t have half the menu because they’re “almost closed,” even though I came through more than an hour before their closing time. Sat at the screen for 15 minutes, then ordered…… some…. Of what my family wanted. They didn’t have anything, so we all got king pao chicken. With rice, because they were out of chow mein(because they didn’t want to start a new batch AN HOUR from their closing time…..)
They told me there would be a wait, and to pull into the parking lot. They then had us sitting in the parking lot for 35 minutes. We arrived at 8:50 and left with our food at 9:40.
When we got home, we found that they didn’t put the sauce on the king pao chicken, it was just plain chicken and vegetables. Look at the picture. King pao chicken is supposed to be dressed with a dark brown sauce. It was undercooked and tasted like cooking oil and grill cleaner. I had to wipe my mouth out with a paper towel and try not to gag for five minutes from the taste of the oil. After scraping the king pao chicken off and resigning to the rice, we found that the rice was dry and hard.
It’s to the point where you guys are toying with their franchise. I can’t imagine what I would think of Panda Express if this was my first location ever.
For the first time in years, I am actually going to pursue a refund from a restaurant. I have had ok or mediocre experiences at restaurants in Lansing; but I have never actually paid someone $50 for food that literally made my family gag and dry heave in disgust

This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve had at any restaurant.
We placed a Bigger Plate order with: • 1 x White Steamed Rice • 1 x Fried Rice • 3 x Beijing Beef • 1 x Super Greens
They messed up the original order, and gave us someone else’s order. After calling, the Manager (Rosie, I think was her name) offered a replacement after going back and forth. So far, okay—but then it just got worse.
We went back the very next day for the replacement waited in line for 15-20 mins, and when we got home, we were shocked. The replacement was missing most of what we ordered: • Only 4 pieces of orange chicken in the entire container (FOUR!)
• No fried rice
• No Beijing beef at all
• Just white rice, super greens, and 4 pieces of chicken.
We called again, hoping they’d make it right. But instead of apologizing and taking responsibility for their mistakes the employee (Josh) gave a ridiculous excuse—that they “used a medium container instead of a small,” as if that somehow justifies only giving us 4 pieces of meat. That doesn’t even make sense. I’ve ordered side orders before, and you get way more than that.
Worse still, he basically called my husband a liar, insisting that the Beijing beef was in the bag when it 100% was not. That level of disrespect and denial is unacceptable.
We tried to be patient. We gave them a second chance. And they doubled down on poor service and missing food.

We ordered online and had a pick-up time set for 5 PM. We got there about 15 minutes early, figuring we’d just wait until it was ready. Right away, one of the workers came up to check our order name and let us know they were working on it. He even mentioned they were cooking fresh chow mein, which was thoughtful of him to share. I let him know we were fine waiting since we were early, but it was nice to be kept in the loop. In the end, the food was ready about five minutes ahead of schedule, so we only waited around 10 minutes.
What really stood out to me was how friendly and attentive the staff were. The worker even came over to apologize for the wait, which honestly wasn’t a big deal at all, but it was such a nice gesture. I especially want to give a shoutout to Demario, who was super polite and gave us such a good impression. He kept checking in with us, and his attitude made the whole experience even better.
