This only describes my experience with one visit & is only that one day. And, this McDonald's was in Woodland, California, not Laramie, Wyoming. Most of the time my McDonald's visits are pleasant and without the drama. ... On this day, they weren't very busy at all, just the usual hustle of a McDonald's in neutral, that's what I call it. There were 4 customers inside the lobby, and I'm including the homeless guy. The drive through had maybe 2 cars, certainly not too busy to stop a minute to give a guy some water.
The thing that I found to be the most rude was, 1.) the excuse the employee used to validate herself about being too busy and 2.) the act of turning her back to him was very rude and insensitive. It was as if she was saying, That's it. I don't wanna hear another word, we're done. That act also prevented him from offering to purchase anything as well, because she didn't go back to the register until he had departed.
So, when I said something to the employee, I was pretty much treated the same way. She told me the same thing, "we don't have to", "we're too busy", "we don't have time for that". And then she turned away from me in much the same way! As if, no more discussion. To me, I was hurt, in my gut I felt like hollowed out. So with nothing else to say, I left. I went to my car, as I went I was looking for the guy that asked for water, but he had gone.
Cmon! McDonald's, you can do better than that... At least, when I worked at...
Read moreThis location is inconsistent. They have a new building and they're delivering quality food 99% of the time, but order accuracy is still a problem. Even if you say an order perfectly at the drive thru window, you continually get questionable results on basic orders. You can see on the order confirmation that they just dropped off 1/2 of the actual order. Even if you get to the present window, there's a good chance that some detail (a size, a substitution) on your order will be wrong at this stage.
I couldn't tell you if this is a new staff problem or a new tools problem or something else. Some presenters here are top notch. Some order takers are top notch. The cash window is always great. And then you get lulled into thinking it's always great, and your next order is almost totally wrong.
So, to be clear: read every single detail on the order confirmation window. Then, check your bag and drink when...
Read moreArrived at this establishment one evening to be berated by the employees. We politely requested two orders of nuggets and two cheeseburgers. After failing to confirm our order and waiting a substantial amount of time they demanded we pull to the second window. The employee was frankly irate and aggressively grabbed our debit card to confirm payment; after our card was approved the employee threw our order of cheeseburgers and nuggets into our Subaru, much to our chagrin. He promptly slammed the window which bounced off the frame of the window making a sound which only could have originated from the seventh layer of hell. I expect more from fine McDonald eateries, especially in the friendly and quaint town of Laramie, Wyoming... shame on you Ronald McDonald ; shame on you night shift...
