This place is a JOKE. We spent almost $40 and had our food delivered to our house . We realized that they got 1 order wrong. We called back and the guy we spoke to told us Thats what you ordered, so thats what you get amd your not getting your money back . The food that was right was good but the customer service was the worse experience i ever had in Laramie. Most people are willing to correct THERE mistake. When i was told several times they were not going to fix my order and i was bluntly told i was not getting my money back and they wanted me to leave. I asked a second and third time are you really not going to make things right. They told me no and they would call the cops if i did not leave. After realizing how rude and disrespectful they were i told them to call the cops. I said if they think there gonna rip me off and make me eat something i didnt order. I spilled the food on there floor. The manager came out putting his hands on me. Telling his workers to not let me leave until the cops arrived. His employee was actually nice and said although you shouldn't of acted that way i also think he could of just fixed your order and im not gonna hold you back. And he let me leave. I stepped outside and waited for the cops. I will never eat there again. I just hope you have a better...
Read moreEffectively, I haven't found a chinese place in Laramie that really impresses me. New Mandarin is no exception. For some reason, the chefs think that taking a "new spin" on the classics is good for them. Personally, it just angered me when I got my sesame chicken, and what showed up was a sliced, breaded chicken breast with sauce on the side.
All I want is some chinese food, people, and you can't even deliver an attempt at it. The only reason I'll eat here again, is that the only place I prefer to this is the Hong Kong Buffet, East on Grand.
I'm resigned to a life of poor chinese, and I am sad.
EDIT: It has been a couple years since I've ordered, but I heard from a friend that NM was really upping their game. I ordered the Hot and Sour soup, Pot Stickers, and General Tsos chicken. The soup was outstanding and the pot stickers held up. The General Tsos was in the appropriate form that I expect Chinese food to be in, but I had to specify that I wanted it that way. However, the breading was falling apart and the sauce didn't have that spicy-sweetness that you expect from General Tsos. Really, if I took a bite I wouldn't have been able to tell you what sort of dish it was supposed to be. Regardless, I'll likely be ordering from them...
Read moreJust moved to Laramie and was craving some good Chinese. I decided to stop and give them a try. The gentleman that welcomed me was polite, but you could tell he was just not happy to be there. That is neither here nor there, I sat down and ordered the pot stickers (which were pretty good, dipping sauce was just straight soy sauce). I then ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup and expressly inquired if it could be made without shrimp (this is where the issues came in, as I am HIGHLY allergic). The waiter told me that it would be no issue getting the soup without shrimp, so I agreed to go ahead and get it. I waited for my friend to join me and we ordered our entrees, I sipped on the soup throughout the meal. I started feeling a tingling itch right before we prepared to leave. And within 10 minutes I was in a full blown allergic reaction. I took a Benadryl and then followed with four more. My eyes swole shut, and I was soon covered with hives. After the Benadryl and the use of an epi pen I finally was able to breathe. All around it was a rough experience. I will say that the waiter did write in capital letters on the check “no shr/ALLERIES”. But the kitchen failure to read or follow through has me...
