Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Laredo

From the get go the service was horrible. The servers don't seem enthusiastic about working there. They didn't greet us at all or acknowledge us for that matter until we interfered with their conversation and asked to be seated. There was not a lot of people to begin with. We were seated and our beverages and food were ordered. No utensils were given, we had to ask for them. Our caesar salads were brown and we asked to switch to a different salad (house). They brought the new salads and they were the same brown color; we ate what we could. Our waitress took forever to come by our table and offer refills. The lights went out in our section only; I don't know what that was about. We asked for the check and they took long bringing it to our table. When they did, they took another long while and we just decided to get up and pay up front. Turns out that we had to wait for our server but we had already waited for fifteen minutes. And lastly, I would like to point out that the lighted signs are too dark. We almost missed the restaurant altogether because they weren't well-lighted and visible. Overall, I would say this was a bad experience. I will definitely not...

We really enjoyed our dinner here after a near bad experience. I had already been here before with a friend and had a great time so I decided to go out with my family soon after. Our plan initially was to sit outside being that it was a nice day, however we were never assisted after 15 minutes, so we got up and walked away. As soon as we were loading into our car, a manager rushed to us and promised to make it up to us with persistence. We decided to take up his offer, but this time we sat inside, and thank goodness we did because this was the very GREAT service I had the first time. My husband and my son both had a great time with the fun environment and the food was perfection! All it really was, was being outside and them not being used to having people out there before 6pm. They promised to work on it and I believe the whole management. They did a wonderful job with representing their business....

Sat there for over 10 minutes. They sat a family directly next to me. The family had their orders in and everything before I got helped. The only reason I got my order in is because I made direct eye contact with a waitress as she walked by with food. Had the unlimited boneless wings because they were out of shrimp. The first portion was good but every other time I got a re-order it was exactly 5 wings and a heap of fries. Then they brought me a re-order of buffalo wings instead of bbq. I didn't have a chance to tell them it was wrong so I sat there and eventually they came back and said oops that's the wrong order and swapped my plate. They took that plate to the other table without a second thought. The fastest service I received was when I asked for the check. I got that thing within 30 seconds of asking.
