Sad to say I was looking forward to trying this new restaurant for my sister’s birthday. My sister is a fan of Italian food. I came from San Antonio to celebrate my sister’s birthday and called on a Tuesday to make a reservation for Friday. When I spoke to someone they said that they were too busy to take a reservation at the time I called and told me to call back tomorrow. I called back the next day and spoke to a woman on the phone that confirmed my reservation for Friday. They didn’t mention that they would be calling to confirm. So I assumed that my reservation would have been honored and held accordingly. On arrival, (on time) i told them that the party had arrived and provided my name. Then someone who claimed to be one of the managers told me that they had been calling me to confirm and that I didn’t answer. First off they had not communicated to me that they would need to confirm before my arrival. 2nd, I didn’t have not one missed call from their phone number nor a voicemail. They basically said that they were too busy and gave up my reservation. I had a party of 10 with cake, balloons and gifts. Because our reservation wasn’t honored we had to cancel our dinner plans as you would probably know… it’s a Friday night. Frankly, this whole debacle was unacceptable, unprofessional, and not to mention they were rude and said “I don’t know what to tell you, you can go look around yourself.” I DO NOT...
Read moreVery nice place and the service was beyond excellent. Usually when I go to an Italian restaurant for the first time I go with lasagna so today was no different. I did not care for the lasagna at all. The tomato sauce - bechamel combo sauce resembled pink foam and appeared to be swirled with pesto around the lasagna. There was a total lack of cheese on top except for grated Parmesan and the layers were just meat and noodles with the bechamel sauce not substantial enough to make a layer. The Caesar salad on the side was lettuce and and lots of cheese. It could have used some croutons for texture. Caesar dressing was thick on the bottom making the leafy part of the romaine lettuce soggy textured. Flavor was good. A small loaf of bread was brought out when I was seated and it was very good although could have been warmer to melt the cold seasoned butter served with it. Food prices were very reasonable so I might try it again when I pass...
Read moreThe food is awful here. Not worth the price I had the pesto rigatoni and they bring me some milky mess of a pasta with just parsley. Pesto has basil, among other things, and no cream. The marinara sauce was too acidic and you could tell it was canned. Marinara sauce is the easiest thing to make. But what can you expect from the Danny's people... Nothing but trash. Italian food this place is not. It's not even good food in all honesty. We need a real Italian restaurant, not this trash. Not going back. I can cook all these dishes better myself and so can you. Demand better from restaurant owner, with your wallet. If we'd stop going to these places like blind sheep they'd have no choice but to fix their food or shut down. Forget to mention the "ciabatta" bread was super stale and not "fresh" nothing was fresh in that place. And the "garlic butter" was cold, right out of the fridge...
