Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Laredo

Great burger place with a very original twist compared to other chain restaurants. Since it recently opened, the place gets pretty crowded in both drive-thru and dine-in. We got the "Bacon & Cheese Double Steak burger" and the "Double Steak burger California style", both were pretty decent, also we asked for extra jalapeños and lettuce and they didn't charge it. The fries are very thin so they're very kid-friendly but for grownups is a bit stressing haha, anyway, we decided to upgrade one of the fries to be Chili Cheese Fries, but they were not as good as I expected, although might be just my palate. As dessert we got the PBC & B, which was very good, it comes with peanut butter Reese's and Banana, we shared between two parties since we didn't want to overshoot the calories. Speaking of calories, another thing worth to mention is that you can switch your bread and choose to wrap your burger in lettuce to reduce a bit the calories, which is also useful if you're doing Keto diet. When it comes to fast food in laredo, you can't ask for much. This place so far has been the best fast food experience (Chipotle aside) when it comes down to getting what you ordered, and having it presentable and made right. The fries were fresh and crispy (rare in laredo) the burger was good but not "five guys" or "in n out" levels of quality. Some people may find it expensive but for what you get, in my opinion, it's fair. I hope this place doesn't suffer the same fate as "five guys" did and shuts down, the people here value, value above all else and aren't really willing to pay more for quality unfortunately. All that to say enjoy it while you can because the last few times I've driven by, rarely does it have many customers...

Definitely not like all the Freddy's i have been to. The food is good, the customer service is not to par with San Antonio and other Freddy's I have been too. Everytime I have been to this one, the order is either wrong, or the employees called me bro, compa...you get the picture. I took my family to buy ice cream and Sundaes and waited 3 mins after getting my order for spoons. Hopefully this changes. Pretty sad to see this happening at a place I am not use to seeing like this. Also, I have gotten my food cold and the cheese curds....I ordered a large order and got half of a fries container. The food is pricey enough, not to get what you paid for...Just...
