After only my second visit, I was kicked out of the bar and unable to return. I walked into the bar tonight with every intent to purchase a pitcher of beer for myself since they charge $4.75 for a bottle of Budweiser, and I was met by a man who doesn't even work there, telling me that "Cece said you're not aloud in here and if you came inside I was to tell you that you have to leave and you can't come back"...
This is disturbing, to say the least. Because last night I went into the bar and ordered a drink and a soda (it was St. Patty's Day, and I already had a few drinks elsewhere) and only wanted to sing Karaoke! Ya know? Because it's a Karaoke Bar! But apparently, a homeless guys money isn't good enough for Cece, and she decided, without even speaking to me, that she would have me kicked out of the bar.
The husband of the owner of said bar is the real clown because he allowed this to happen! After allowing me to sing my heart out, get praise from the entire room, clapping and cheering, and all that, this guy allows his crush to 86 me! I was a patron last night, and tonight would have been no different!
This is by all means and definition, discrimination, and I emplor anyone reading this review to stand up for what is right and go find another establishment with a bit more dignity and respect for its consumers. Your money will be better spent elsewhere, I can assure you.
Not only does the DJ take advantage of his wife and drink her booze all night, but he allows his bartenders to enact their will upon whomever they chose! Even going as far as refusing another customer the right to purchase a beer for another, which, by my understanding, upset them when Cece refused to allow them to do so. One man even went as far as saying, "I've been all over the world, and never once have I been told no when buying a beer for one of my friends." Cece acted meliciously and made her unjust decision simply because I'm what? In between places? Because I'm going through a break up and consequently broke my $31,000 lease at Provenza St. Pete, when I dumped my X, ultimately putting myself out on the street?
What kind of Bar & Grill refuses money from anyone for any reason?
This is an egregious oversight by management and is so unbelievable that I might go as far as reporting the business to the BBB for discrimination.
SO WHAT IF I AM HOMELESS!? I HAVE MONEY TO SPEND AND A VOICE TO SHARE AND NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE ME! Especially some random bartender at a hole in the wall that overcharges for...

Read moreI won't lie, but my girl Daisy and I love us some karaoke. In fact, Daisy is the only woman in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area who absolutely slaughters "Ready to Go" by Republica, which is the one song I have begged any girl I've ever met at a karaoke bar who had a decent voice to sing. I have a standing offer at karaoke bars across the country, that if anyone, of any gender, sings that song while I'm in the building, I will buy them a drink. I asked Daisy one time if she knew it. She said no. And the very next time we were together, she had learned it and sang it for me. That's why she's a keeper. The large rectangular bar allows plenty of room for those who choose to belly up to it, and there is also ample booth seating, including booths near the pool table. The giant tv displays assure that both the singer and the audience can follow the words, as well as a list of the current and upcoming singers, continuously updated by the KJ, (Hoot was working the knobs tonight) so all performers have plenty of time to Google lyrics, enjoy some of the excellent fare from the kitchen, or throw back all the liquid courage they need. Joey and Jen were behind the bar the last time we went, and were both very successful in making our night a great one. And the crowd at The Corner is always gracious and generous with their applause. So it doesn't matter when you need to scratch that karaoke itch, because the show starts at 9pm 7 days a week, but it will get very busy on the weekends, so show up early if you want to grab a good seat and get your...
