Usually, my experience at Crafty Crab in Largo is pleasant, from the food, drinks, music, and friendly atmosphere. However, today, 6/14, I had the most unpleasant experience. From the start, our server took a long time to greet us, but when she did, she was pleasant. We started with drinks and appetizers, specifically hush puppies. Upon eating one, I began to feel sick because the hush puppies were not completely done, and I asked the server if she could ask the cook to remake them. She explained that because many had been eaten by the table, they wouldn’t accommodate my party. I then asked for the manager, who was dismissive about the situation, so I asked my party if we could just leave because I was afraid of being sick from uncooked food. We asked for the check, which was brought to us by a very nice gentleman, Deric the bartender, who showed incredible interest in knowing why we were leaving so soon. After that encounter, our server was switched to another server who was nice. The only complaint was that my elderly mother ordered scallops but received oysters instead. They were disgusting, and she immediately went to the bathroom to throw up. When we made the waitress aware of the mistake, she began to say that my mom had ordered that, which she hadn’t. She did bring the correct order but also made us pay for the oysters. I must also mention that while in the bathroom, my mom said it was very dirty and didn’t appear to have been cleaned properly in a while. Other than our mishaps, the seafood boils and drinks were fine, but I would not return to this location again due to health and unsanitary reasons. Because of the severity of health conditions, I will also be contacting HHS. Read moreWORST customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. Came in for the first time and asked for a table for two. The host told us it would be about a 15–20 minute wait and said we were welcome to wait at the bar. So we sat down. A few minutes later, I went back to politely ask for clarification since it was my first time there. The host gave me a nasty attitude, like I was bothering her for simply trying to understand the process. She rolled her eyes and said, “Someone will come get y’all,” and went back to doing absolutely nothing.
We waited 30 minutes, and in that time, three parties who arrived after us were seated before us. Meanwhile, the host — instead of managing the front — was literally just sitting down, scrolling on her phone, completely ignoring us. There were multiple empty tables available, so there was no reason we couldn’t have just been seated and waited there. But instead, she seemed more interested in relaxing than actually doing her job.
When I finally spoke to the manager, hoping someone would take accountability, I got more attitude and zero help. She told me there was “nothing she could do” because we had left, completely ignoring the fact that the issue happened while we were still waiting and being overlooked. Her excuse was that if I had said something at the time, maybe she could’ve done something — as if the host not doing her job wasn’t already a reason to step in.
The ONLY positive part of the experience was the bartender — she was sweet, attentive, and professional. The rest of the staff? Unprofessional, rude, and clearly uninterested in providing even basic customer service.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. If you want to be treated with respect and common decency, spend your time and money...

let’s start by saying we have arrived at the restaurant at six, and we didn’t leave until after 10…. As a previous server and manager of a restaurant, the way that my party of 8 was treated was atrocious and completely unacceptable. And our opinion, it appears as though the server may have been intoxicated..
Here is a brief summary the server got the order wrong and did nothing to correct it which caused several up charges
the food came out cold several of us were not able to eat the food at all
The drinks came out when the majority of the party had finished eating their meal and we’re talking about drinks like water and soda,
we asked for the manager manager was told she is too busy to come over
After waiting over an hour to get the bill, they send security over to the table inquiring if we were going to be settling the bill; we only had the bill for about 10 minutes and at the time the security came over the server already had the payment. We had been wanting to leave and had to ask for the bill several times before we received it.
We were told we could use four separate payments. We clearly wrote on the back of the bill which amount to put on what card the name of the card and the type of card in the server still run things up incorrectly and charge the cards wrong
At the end, the server was arguing with members of the party and taking no accountability for his actions,
If you know any better, DO NOT go to crafty crab campus way south in Largo...
