I truly recommend a 1 star or 0 star rating for the lack of professionalism and lack of interest in Customer Service. I went with the 2 star rating as I do take in consideration that the quality of crabs my family have received from them for years has been decent.
My personal experience relates directly to the staff and management.
My first call took place when I decided to call and get information on what Homeboys had available and what the prices were. 30 minutes later, I called to place a pick-up order for a dozen of male crabs, was given a number and told it would be 20 minutes to steam (same guy answered the phone that I spoke with the first time). I let the person know what my last name was and that my husband was on the way to pick up the order.
When my husband arrived, he was told there was no order for a dozen of crabs, and that they did not have the order number I relayed to him, they in fact told him that they did not have male crabs, and that the order was non-existent.
I called back to Homeboy's for the third time, the same guy answered for the third time as well, and I went over what occurred. He went on to say that there was in fact an order associated with the ticket number he gave me, to include the male crabs, and that the order was ready. I let him know what my husband relayed to me, and he interjected to tell me that he had an order for my ticket number but it was for 2 dozen males crabs and that was the issue. I then let him that was incorrect, and that the person he spoke with specifically let him know that there was no way I could have ordered the male crabs, and that the ticket number did not exist because they ran out of male crabs for 30-45 minutes, during the time I would have placed the original order. I then asked to speak with a manager.
While I was waiting for the "manager" to return to the call, another man picked up the phone and identifies himself as the manager, and asked me what the problem was. I went on to explain what was happening, and in a matter of moments this manager became very rude, outspoken, degrading and immature in his quick to talk and not listen approach to the matter at hand. I spent an additional 20 minutes on the phone going back and forth with the Manager of this establishment who had more interest in being combative, instead of listening to a Customer, and finding a way to resolve the issue with care and consideration.
I let the manager know that the one who took my order insisted that the crabs were available, however, when my husband was there that he was told there were not, and that I'd like to know what happened with my order. But then ALL THE SUDDEN, the manager changes his account of things and says someone else came in, asked for my order number and was given my order.
I then inquired as to why they would give another person my order, and why they did not verify the ticket number and name on the order. Quite a bit of backward and forward went on, mostly of the Manager cutting me off with inconsistent information that did not make any sense, and me asking the Manager if I would be able to get a word in without his interruption, whether myself as the Customer would be able to address my concern before placing another order, and what the best way would be to place the order without risking them giving my order away to someone else. He told me it was not their problem and not their fault, and that if I want crabs, they have crabs and I can place the order, but they don't except names over the phone associated with call-in orders, and that he did not want to hear anything else I had to say.
I believe this began as miscommunication on their part relating to the availability of the crabs, but ended poorly and distasteful. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this establishment as service is as important and quality. I sincerely hope he...
Read moreI ordered began my order at Grub hub and to my surprise the complete menu was not available. I called the store and was directed to try Doordash. Upon ordering on doordash again I noticed the same issue an incomplete menu. What I wanted to order was available but the add ons to the actual order were unavailable. Upon calling the store again the employee was clueless at what to do or say all she could say was well I don't know. I had to ask for Management because she was not knowledgeable of how to handle the question. Upon speaking with Management his response was well not my issue that is between you and door dash they are thrid party. My response to that is I understand but they represent you and you are telling me that you run a business that a third party controls and any issues that arrise representing your company are not your problem. After explaining how customer service works the Ower said he didn't care write a long review. This place has the worse customer service and will never see my dollars again. To tell a customer that your third party representative HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH YOUR BUSINESS IS A SLAP IN THE FACE. I'm sure if my race was different the outcome would have been more accommodating. Read moreSo happy I found this place! I got lobster bisque, a pound of crab legs, a dozen oysters, and a side of veggies via UberEats. Oysters: biggest, plumpest I've ever had! Really good too, not fishy or off. You can't choose which oysters you want but these were seriously so good. I requested mignionette, seems they don't have mignonette which is kind of a classic with oysters but they did give me an extra cocktail sauce in condiment cups, and packets of hot sauce. But I'm so pleased with the oysters. The crab legs came as a couple of clusters with a cup of melted butter. Crab is beautiful legs, I ask for no seasoning on the outside and they accommodate. Got them a few times by now haha. I loved the lobster bisque too. It actually kind of was more like lobster grits? But so tasty. Side of veggies was cauliflower, broccoli, and sliced ridged carrot. I will absolutely go back. I wish they did their own delivery, because all the ordering apps tack on so much for, "Taxes & Other Fees." Also, I noticed their website's online menu does not match the one on UberEats. It's mostly the same, but a few things are missing from their site's menu that you'll see on a delivery app... so keep that in mind! Update: have now ordered multiple times haha, still hasn’t...
