Before Covid happened are used to go to the Waldorf location because it was faster and lines would just move quickly, and so would the workers because they wanted to get everyone in-and-out but, also have a great service as well. But, now that the virus has hit and the motor vehicle is open and taking appointments only, I think that's much better because it gets people in the door and out the door and is a way for workers not to feel overwhelmed and people like myself who have anxiety and panic attacks to not get frustrated and tonight have basically not have fears. Now I had just heard that the virus has affected 5 people at the NVA and one of them die and there thinking about shutting it down again I prayed at the does not happen until after next Saturday because that's when I go for my license after that you can shut down the MVA for all I care. But I will feel badd for everyone who has made an appointment for their driver's license to get it and be able to fully drive that they would have to put it on hold because of another shutdown. I just think that the people over the age of 25 should be able to get their license , if another shutdown happens or if the county decide the shut down the branch location. I tried to change my appointment because once I heard the news I thought that they would shut down the location but if I was to change my appointment I could not get my license in till next year and I want to drive before next year because my folks are getting older and I'm the only young one in the house so I need to learn to drive-in order to be able to run errands for them And it's about time I'm 27 I've had so many years of...
Read moreDuring a pre-COVID visit, I found the great and all powerful employee in training. I was immediately directed to a self-service kiosk for a task that couldn't be accomplished at the kiosk (removal of an administrative flag). When I pointed this out to His Eminence, he grew irritated and again referred me to the kiosk and then began servicing the person directly behind me. Obediently, I stepped over to the kiosk and read every prompt on all of the screens loud enough for him to hear until I reached a terminal screen which then referred me (wait for it) BACK TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK. At that, I waited another 10 minutes or so in line (no biggie) and when I approached His Highness again, he then rather smugly informed me that I needed to either make an appointment, use the kiosk or leave while simultaneously summoning over a State Trooper. Fortunately a supervisor interveined but before I could tell her what I needed Mr. DMV Almighty cut me off and informed her that I was being disruptive.......and it was at this point that she snatched his soul from his body! With fire in her eyes and ice in her voice she explained to him that she had watched the entire encounter unfold and asked him if he had bothered to ask me specifically what I needed. Without waiting for an answer, the supervisor, allowed me to explain my situation, dismissed the State Trooper and then resolved the flag on the spot in less than two minutes. I am so lucky and thankful that the supervisor was on top of things because Clown Boy was no help at all. Even the State Trooper was embarrassed for the self-anointed Crown...
Read moreMy wife and I bought a '22 car and received the title in Feburary of this year. My wife's middle name was spelled incorrectly. I called two days later to get it fixed and a corrected title sent to my address. The person I talked to said they would take care of it. Since I didn't hear anything or receive anything from them, I gave the DMV a follow-up call today and was told that the error was the dealership's fault and I needed to contact them to fix it and pay any appropriate fees. In explaining this, the DMV operator used random acronyms that presumably represented some sort of internal ticket system they use to track calls and resolutions. She claimed that the system showed that someone "left a message" explaining the situation in April. Not true. She was quite snippy that she could not provide any additional information.
Absolute joke of an office. I should mention that I talked with someone earlier today, who after taking my title number and listening to my question, REDIRECTED me back to the waiting room. Terrible,...
