6/25 Improved kitchen, all items properly cooked.
I give three stars based on three things.
First is service at this location has greatly improved from 11 months ago. At about half capacity in the breakfast to lunch transition time service was prompt. Promptly given a seat and menu. A server came and took my order no more than five minutes later. Compete meal was brought in 15 minutes after the order was placed.
Second are cutbacks to increase profits. The noticed is that the napkin container has been removed from the tables. You get one napkin for your meal. Despite my physical trouble eating I managed to make do with one napkin.
The other thing missing is the syrup carousel. Used to get a choice of several flavored syrups for you pancakes and now just the one maple syrup.
The third thing is the coordination in the kitchen getting all items onto the plate at the same time. I must note that all items were properly cooked, neither over nor under cooked.
The order was the smokehouse combo of two over easy eggs, hash browns, two smoked sausage links, two pancakes and an additional side of toast. Not a coffee drinker I ordered a diet Pepsi.
The Pepsi was half flat.
The toast was only warm and would not melt the butter put on them.
The pancakes were just warm enough to melt the butter and seems to have had the recipe changed as they quickly turned to mush when syrup was added.
Edible but not competitive with a hole in the wall family dinner.
January 2023 : Untrained wait staff. Server was prompt and attentive but not properly trained.Don't blame her , blame the manager and franchisee Sunshine Restaurant Partners. Asked what I wanted and being speech impaired pointed to the omelet that came with pancakes, hash browns and toast. Asked if I wanted anything more or just that and I nodded yes. When the serve placed the order another employee watched and said something. Server came back and asked if I wanted the pancakes and again I nodded yes. The order came but less hash browns and toast. Cheating on my diet I let it go. Gave the server tip for trying. Could see sever had to ask for help to ring up the cash I paid. Manager did not do job seeing that servers were properly trained and franchise owner was not making sure the manager does their job. Rot from the top. Can say the food I got was good and...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend went in on Easter morning before we caught a movie. I will say initially the hostest was very polite.the restaurant was fairly full but we were seated right away. Our waitress, a girl with red hair, (i didnt catch her name)was also initially polite when she took our order but after taking our order and bringing our drinks she never came back to check on us and we kept trying to wave her down and she ignored us every time. Our table had no salt shaker or sugar for the coffee. I overhead a few of the waitresses talking loudly with the hostess about their tables and having to get more people in and our waitress asking why she sat us at the larger table and I heard her say "well let's just try to get them out" with was extremely rude. She brought us our food and a cup of salt and the sauce we asked for and never came back, she seemed more concerned and attentive to the table next to us with larger groups that would leave a larger tip. My boyfriend and I kept trying to get her attention for a box and check and she ignored us so I had to ask another waitress in which I voiced my concerns about our waitress and she told her, and our waitress comes over and throws the box and check on the table and goes "here you go" extremely rude and immediately storms off. I was so angry i had to go outside while my boyfriend left the cash for the bill. The service was some of the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant, i get it it's busy, but if you don't know how to handle customer service or your frustration on a busy day you shouldn't be a waitress. The restaurant itself is the smallest ihop I've ever seen. The food portions were so small the crepes were not the size they usually make them, they had barely any filling and was mostly just a rolled up crepe. and they didn't even put hollandaise on the eggs Benedict. The eggs and hash browns had no seasoning. Overall the worst experience we have ever had at any restaurant ever. I recommend you go go somewhere else, anywhere...
Read moreStandard IHOP food, service was decent and the place was clean. Update 1.22.22: Had a terrible experience where my take out was half done, missing sides and condiments. Called and spoke to manager who comped my meal when I pointed out there were only 3 tables in the restaurant when I picked it up and this means the staff (which outnumbered the customers) was being lazy and completely disregarded my order. Update 2.17.22: I called to place my carryout order since the previous compensation required me to pay in store. I did not mention that I was a previously disgruntled customer that had been comped. I checked my order when it was handed to me. It was 100% perfect, down to the appropriate condiments, sides, and cooked as ordered. I got it home and it was tasty! I would also like to mention that this time the interior of the restaurant was cleaner, more appealing, and everyone inside seemed to not hate life, unlike before. I hope this new attitude stays, as I really like my local ihop. Their blueberry pancakes are my weakness!!! Update 9.3.23: I have had very few order recently due to a decrease in available cash. I ended up ordering today via uber eats. Once again, my order is wrong. I am really beginning to question ordering from this business. If you are not standing in front of them, they don't care about getting it right. I PAID EXTRA MONEY to get blueberry pancakes and I get well-done regular pancakes, just shy of being burned. I think this might be my last try at this ihop. I love the blueberry pancakes, but pay for them and don't receive them on a regular basis now. It's a but ridiculous. Would your boss accept sub-par...
