Edit (2nd review) I was so praying 🙏 this place would change! Usually, never write reviews, but this Popeyes is probably the worst managed fast Restaurant in the USA. Dont believe me, Read the reviews, have not see one positive review! 🤯. Been back 3 times in the last 12 months, 1st, 48min in drive though for pre order food, $30, two cars in front of me. No one had a big order from the looks of it, Never complained, but people very harsh and rude. Food came out dry and cold.
2nd, went for a pre order for a family of 4 meal, checked in 15min before I even got there, because we all know this place takes for ever, 1:05 later picked up food, people kept cleaning place then would handle food without washing hands.
3rd time, was around 3pm, inside was close, drive thu had 5 cars, was in like 30min without moving so left.
4ty time, (today) went in with family. There was 4 people inside, no one in drive-thru. Was happy yp see there was all types of chicken, ready to go, biscuits, sides the whole place stock. 3 people working, I'm like this is great, finely get food. I was so so so wrong. First person in line got to oder 10min after I got there, took the lady about 5 min to put the oder in.. then disappeared, the other lady stop in middle of bagging and order and started sweeping the floors, same spot for the next 20min. The person that took the oder was laughing and talking to another employer for 20min+ . Started talking to the other customers, lady who got her order said she been there 20min before I got there, there was a door dash guy, said he been there for an hour and 8 min waiting on $15 worth of food, there was another guy, said he put his online oder 40 min ago have not. They all said all the food came out 30min to 50min ago.. but not one bag of food been give to any customer.. I wish corporate would take over this store. We finely left, ate next store, was happy, ran into other customer there and said they left because no one was getting served even though food was in the window.
(First review) Love Popeyes chicken, BUT this location is probably one of the worst mis managed Popeyes I've ever been too or fast food place iv ever been too. Sad, because Popeyes is one of the few I like and would actually go out of my way to get. Its just in need of some proper training and a management change, if I was an owner or investor I be P.O. of how much money they leave off the table. Two major factors that kills this Popeyes : consistency and proficiency.
Consistency, I can order the same thing and everytime it's completely different quality. It's either fresh and correctly made to the franchise standard or better, or it's dried up, hard as a rock that could chip a tooth, or cold, like it's been on a counter for 20 minutes and or mushy like Play-Doh.
Proficiency: their ability to predict customer volume is part of the problem, but this is caused by consistency and loosing customers instead of having a regular customer base, so nothing there to predict. I would have to say 3 out of 4 (75%) of the time, the wait for food exceeds 15 min at the minimum. Four times in drive through lines exceeded 30 min, and once inside 50 min. Usually if I see more then 2 cars in drive though I won't stop and I'm not the only customer that does that. Also in drive though, if the car ahead of you is waiting for something to cook, your food will be bagged up and waiting for 15 to 30 min and cooling off or getting dried up. , they will not have a car pull around to wait for cooking food.
Love for your Popeyes to be around longer, but damn how long can you run like that before no one comes back, might be fast and taste better to drive 15-20...

11/25/2024 Worse yet – Placed order at the kiosk, picking up order handed coupon good until next month and coupon went to trash. The kiosk is not programmed to take coupons & the counter can't.
More worse – They do not give receipts, so if you need one for your business records / taxes this is not the place for you.
11/14/2024 Still going downhill. They tried to increase profits by reducing service. They no longer take orders at the front counter. You must place the order yourself on a computer screen. But you cannot unless you first scan their QR code with your cell phone, I don't keep a qr scanner app on my phone. Told the lady behind the counter, and she signed onto the screen and made my order, had it been busy she would not have been able to do that. In addition, they have removed the packets of ketchup, salt, pepper and biscuit honey. They also do not ask you if you want them or place them in your bag.
5/19/2023 – Still untrained staff. Stood in line with two people in front of me with several people standing around waiting for their orders. The lady taking orders looked at two men standing together and asked them if they were waiting for an order. They said yes and she asked one who told her what his order was. She asked the second man & before he could finish telling her his order she walked away to fill that first guy's order. Soon she called back to the second guy and asked what his order. She gave the first guy his order and then start filling the second guy's order as slowly as the first guys. At this point a young man employee came up to help take orders. He took one man's order but before he could take other's a man standing around waiting since I came in said he was waiting for his app placed order. He spent several attempts to understand this man's order by reading the man's cell phone. Then began trying to fill that order. During this time the first employee had filled those two waiting guy's orders and began taking orders again. She was interrupted by those first two guy's because neither had gotten all their food items in their bags. She would give them the missing items but not all the missing items. I would have walked out but was like watching Laurel and Hardy and I wanted to see the ending. Food was good though.
3/9/2023 11:30 am. On person on front counter. Took one order then maned the drive through window. Would return when the order they had taken at the counter was up and gave that to the person waiting. only then took the next order returning to drive trough window without taking another counter order. Was taking about 10 minutes for each counter order and there were five people in front of me, would have taken as much as an hour so I left.
Roughly August 2022; Signs of neglect. New workers put on front counter without training and little help. First on my to go order was wrong drink which was clearly on receipt. It's unfortunate that I often experience an extremely long wait time when ordering anything other than a beverage when dropping in the few locations in Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg. This is a deterrent! If it were not for a want to provide dinner for my wife, I would not frequent any of the locations since I am strictly a plant-based eater.
The workers at this location, as do others in my city area, regularly seem disgruntled and disorganized. I've yet to see a team member communicate with a "customer" valued style. This is a repeating issue no matter which location I visit.
It's a sure way to shut any business down when customers aren't appreciated or respected! I certainly get the fact that some customers can be outright belligerent and behave as though they are quite entitled, which makes the environment more difficult than necessary for any business... but two wrongs never make a situation right!
Complaining to the manager, who might also be the antagonist in a confrontation, is just adding more fuel to a blazing moment that could go in any direction, but the right one.
When I observe a manager or team member, mistreat another customer or team member, I am making decisions about my future dealings with the restaurant or business.
Even those at the top of many local restaurants, as leaders, don't value feedback from customers. Too often, complaining does not bring about the changes that bring new or repeat business. Customers will either ignore convenience to go where they are received and respected or switch restaurant preferences altogether! No business should want that!
Good profits are certainly tied to several factors in the restaurant industry! Such as good customer service, good food, convenient access, and reasons for the customer to continue returning!
