UPDATE
Just in the past year this place has gone from amazing service and amazing food, to an utter disappointment. Remember when they used to run to the door to open it and greet you? Yeah not anymore. Remember when the food was well made and the chips were fresh? You can forget about that too. If you want to feel like a meaningless McDonald's customer with less than taco bell quality food, then by all means, stop by. But if you don't want to pay over $10 for 2 tacos and a drink on any day besides Tuesday, I promise you.. save your time, money, and palate for literally anywhere else. The t-flats we used to know and love, does not exist anymore.
Awesome service! Best service I've ever had! When you go into a place like this you expect to be treated just like any other tex-mex restaurant, but that couldn't be further from the truth. When I first walked in the door was held open for me and I was very kindly greeted. Then I ordered some food at the register where they were very helpful with helping me figure out the menu. There was already no question that they deserved a tip when the card machine gave me the option. I sat down, what seemed like almost no time passed by and I got my food brought to me.. my refills were gotten and my trash cleared for me.. the door was held open for me as I left. That was my experience at T-flats....
Read moreI've had fast drive through food more flavorful than Tijuana Flats. For the price the servings are extremely skimpy, the chopped up tiny cubes of chicken and fish in the Tacos is a disgrace and should be embarrassing to the company to even serve. In direct contradiction of the website promoting fresh from scratch every day, the guacamole comes in the form of packaged avocado paste: both my daughter and I could taste it wasn't homemade. We even asked our server, who verified it. Gold star for her that she didn't lie. The rest of the food was so bland my daughter kept getting up for more hot sauce, a condiment she never uses. The house salsa was pale, watery, and had absolutely no flavor. The tortillas used for the tacos no better than the generic ones used by Taco Bell. The best part of our $25 meal of 4 tacos was the order of warm tortilla chips; now they were fresh. And also complimentary from Maddie, who wanted us to be bowled over by our dining experience since we were first timers. She was warm, inviting, personable, and an excellent ambassador for the company. Too bad the food wasn't as pleasant. I would never recommend Tijuana...
Read moreGood Lord that was awful. Worst meal I've had in a while. The chicken bowl was white rice sprinkled with a tiny amount of black beans, shredded lettuce, guac and a small amount of finely shredded chicken that I almost didn't have to chew. My kid's quesadilla was flavorless and the cheese wasn't even melted, he didn't even finish one piece. My other kid got nachos, beef & cheese only... They literally brought out a plate of chips drizzled in their queso. I told him there's supposed to be beef on them, he went in the back and brought out a side cup of beef and placed it in front of me. Wow, they get better nachos at the school cafeteria, dude. The chips are good but the queso is extremely salty and it's orange nacho cheese, not "queso" which is white. Thirty bucks? I tell you, if anyone gave this place a good review, it's because they haven't tried Moe's. To be fair, I used to frequent a different Tijuana location, but I always ordered burritos and drenched them with hot sauce. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff, all I know is I'm...
