The Donut is 10 out of 10 but boy! This old lady working in the morning shift on Tuesday is hella rude! It’s ruining the vibes. I was on my way from work and excited to get this Chocolate donut with bacon on top that me and my husband had the week before. I was gonna get some for my family who is visiting from Orlando cause i was telling them how good it was! Hell! I was even bragging it to my workmates in Tampa! I open the door and was super nice cause last time i went the staff are super friendly well, not this old lady. Everytime i ask her question she would cut me off. She was even rude when i ask about the chocolate donut with bacon. She made a point that they dont do that. It’s always maple with bacon on top. I mentioned we had it last time. Cause i thought i was tripping. Then she admit they do it when they run out of maple lmao. Then said okay i’ll take maple with bacon on top. I asked how much for a dozen. She said “look up! The pricing of a dozen is listed above” well i looked up and saw 18 dollar something for a dozen. She warned me they charge extra if i use card. I was like okay. I’ll take a dozen. And she asked me what flavor would i want. (I’m pretty sure i asked her for a dozen of maple bacon the first time) but no biggie I repeat myself. And she flipped on me lol. She told me i need to order 1 day ahead if i order something like that lmao (i cant believe i have to pre order something that is a dozen on a donut shop.) but i totally get the point maybe its the best seller and they dont wanna sell it all at once at the same time. I am not mad about that. I am upset that this women talk to me like there’s a rule written down outside the store or in there website about that! But i still said my bad. Was that written on a website or something. ( i genuinely feel bad cause. I might miss that) she said they have no website. No facebook or anything like that. She hand me their flyer and point me a number. (Still no written rule in the flyer about pre ordering one dozen of same donut) WHAT I AM GETTING IN HERE IS, YOU CANNOT EXPECT ANYONE TO KNOW YOUR FREAKIN RULE WHEN YOU DID NOT INDICATE THAT SOMEWHERE and THE WORST PART IS! YOU FLIPPED ON THEM FOR NOT KNOWING.I swear at that point my patience is running low for this Old women. Then she told me since it’s a special donut it’s price differently. Oh! By the way did i not ask her HOW MUCH A DOZEN FOR A FREAKIN MAPLE BACON DONUT AND SHE CUT ME OFF AND TOLD ME TO LOOK UP AT THE GENERAL PRICE. This old lady is unbelievable. I swear i was done with her and told her that i am not buying anymore cause she is omitting so much bad aura and attitude for no reason. Good thing she snapped out of her senses and let the young lady finish the service. And this lady is a life saver. A donut shop does not need a old grumpy hag to ruin everyones day specially in the morning! They need to hire people like the young lady that is nice and give a smile to a costumer and actually answer question when asked. Not cut off people and get mad about confusion! Anyway hopefully she wont be the face of establishment or she would change her attitude cause the donut in this place is amazing! So in short donut is 10 out of 10 the young lady is 10 out of 10. The old grumpy women she might need to retire and lossen up. Everyone has their own rough patch and dissatisfaction in their life that tend to make people bitter. But please!!! Don’t bring that to work and infect people with...
Read moreMy friend was visiting from out of town and was craving donuts so we dropped by this place to check it out. We got there around 12:15 pm on a Sunday (the shop closes at 1 pm) and they were down to less than 10 flavors. Of course, this wasn't their fault, but a good heads up is the earlier you go, the better chance you have of choosing from more flavors.
We ended up getting the following flavors: Samoa, Peanut Butter Oreo, French Toast, Apple Pie and Chocolate Glazed.
Samoa - now, I'm not a Samoa fan (team thin mint all day!). But I tried this donut and it was as if someone was hugging my taste buds. It wasn't too strong on any one flavor, the donut was light and fluffy and the different tastes complemented each other well.
Peanut Butter Oreo - I'm a cookies and cream/Oreo addict. I mean my blood is essentially made out of Oreos, so naturally, I wanted to have something close to it. I was hesitant because I felt like the peanut butter (which I also love) flavor, with the crushed Oreos on top, may be too "rich" or thick in flavor as a whole donut and would be too much. Final verdict? Home. Run.
French Toast - this donut was one to enjoy. I leaned back ever so slightly until I fit perfectly into the groove in my couch and began to eat this scrumptious donut. It's a sophisticated one, so be ready to close your eyes with every bite and don't be embarrassed if a few "mmm's" don't escape your lips.
Apple Pie - what's there to say? If you don't like this flavor donut then you just aren't human..
Chocolate glaze - this was a lazy choice and made out of feeling totally glutinous so I went with a "staple" at almost any other shop (for comparison sake). I liked the glaze to donut ratio and thought that the glaze didn't over power the donut part as it does at other places. You still got to enjoy the make up of the donut, and the chocolate glaze was just an added bonus. It was nothing "fancy," but the taste was yum yum in my tum tum.
The overall consistency and make up of the donuts was definitely one of the best I've ever had. Even though I had gotten there during the end of the day when the donuts had been sitting the longest, they still tasted as fresh as can be.
Now, the staff. The staff is truly what made the encounter special (for me, at least). They were all very engaging and friendly and incredibly welcoming. I had most of my interactions with Elisa, the store manager. You can sense the passion that she has for the store and even though she talked the donuts up in a big manner, they really were as delicious as she promised. Just be careful, because I went in wanting to order 2 donuts, and she somehow got me to come in the store twice and end up with half a dozen! No, but really, she was awesome and incredibly helpful.
This was my first time there and I can absolutely say with certainty that I'll be going back there again. You should check...
Read moreUpdated 2 March 2021: I ordered a couple breakfast sandwiches, without incident until it was time to pay. Then I was asked if I wanted to tip the cook? I asked why am I being asked to tip the cook... I was told for "her service." I then asked if she doesn't get paid to be the cook. Their reply was "yes. She gets paid." So, why am I asked to tip the cook specifically? I was told "for her service". Maybe I am old school, but I tip when. being waited on at a table and there's actual service provided like drink refills, etc. I get insulted at places like Starbucks with a tip jar when there's no service other than me ordering at a cash register. This place has a similar tip jar. I Recommend stopping the narrative of begging for a tip for someone we cannot see or interact with.. It was rather pushed on me today and it makes me second guess about returning again if it is to continue. """"
Original review from a couple years ago: Bright and clean. The breakfast sandwich is very delicious and made to order. The bagel it comes on can be a variety of flavors. I choose plain. The egg is real, the ham was very good and the taste was awesome. I'll never get a Wawa breakfast if I have the choice between Jupiter and Wawa.
The donuts were more expensive than other places nearby but when you see the selection you will quicky see why it's worth the extra couple dollars.
The donuts taste great and they aren't overly Rich or heavy. They are just excellent. I prefer Jupiter donuts over Frida's and St Pete bagel...
