I'm a really calm and collective guy. So, I ordered Chinese Food from WOK N ROLL in largo, Florida. Thinking that the orders came with fried rice I ordered just the meat and egg rolls. Honey chicken and sweet and sour chicken to be exact. Guy brings food and no rice, along with the wrong chicken. Called the store and guy argues with me that it's what I ordered.lol No I did NOT! Told him he could Jane the kung fu chicken he sent and give me the sweet and sour chicken I ordered plus fried rice. After about 15 minutes going back and forth with this guy he tells me to keep the chicken and it'll be another 45 minutes to get my order. At this point I'm beyond agitated which by the way is really hard to do with me. Guy shows up 55 minutes later and when I open my for door he asked what the problem was. EXCUSE ME! He just stands there not wanting to give me my food that I paid for. Tells me I needed to give back the chicken that was not ordered by me for God knows why. Told him the dog ate it since he told me to keep it. Anyway, I'm like give me my food so he goes to hand me the bag then yanks the bag. I had a death grip on that sweet and sour chicken don't mess with me. Then he freaking shoves me and I push him off my property. I call the cops on this douche bag and he insists on staying on my property in his car like he wasn't in the wrong to begin with. Why people gotta mess with me. I'm calm and collective, I don't bother anyone, don't create problems and this guy wants to push my buttons. He threatened me and my family which is where the line was crossed with me. Never order from WOK N ROLL in largo, their rude, service is extremely poor and drivers threaten people while trying to rip you off. #woknroll on east...
Read moreI hate to write bad reviews, especially for a small business. However, I'm afraid this warrants it. I've used this restaurant twice now. The gentleman inside is very friendly and always wants to make small talk while you wait. He is, though, the ONLY person there, which means he is cooking, ringing out your order, taking phone orders, and giving out orders to customers. This would not be an issue if he was forthright and honest about his charging. I ordered 4 items. Upon reviewing my receipt I noticed that I had been charged over $5 more than the total could possibly have been. I inquired politely and he insisted that was the correct pricing. No. Not even with tax and a credit card fee could the total have come up THAT high. To add insult to injury, the food was mediocre at best. My chicken fried rice had NO flavor and was awful. My husband's beef and snow peas were a small serving (for which apparently we were charged double) and again NO flavor. Neither of us were happy. For less money, I could have gone to the Chinese restaurant near my home and had a much better quality of food AND honest pricing. I only came here because it is near to my work. Sadly I will not be returning. It appears that some of his small talk is to distract you from noticing that he is overcharging you, and he also asks if you work (he asked me this multiple times, to the point where I was beginning to wonder why he was asking) and I believe that is also calculated to determine whether or not he is going to overcharge you knowing that you won't be able to do anything about it after the fact. He got me once, so I chalk it up, but there won't be...
Read moreI wish I could had given this place 0 stars! I have been going to this place about 3-5 times a month since they first opened about 5 years ago (give or take). I always order the same thing. This past week I ordered a chicken fried rice among other things. It didn't tast like it had the other hundred times that I had it; it iasted a little bit off. So much so that I didn't eat any of it. I wasn't able to get back to the restaurant for 3-4 days later to return it. Long story short, the guy claimed I was a liar and he said that he remembered ME, and it wasn't a fried rice, it was a brown rice that he had sub'ed for a white rice that came with a meal.... and he did it for free! THat was a lie, because for 1) I wasn't the one that went into the rest. to order it, my mom was, and 2) I have NEVER ordered a meal/combo that came with white rice I always order "a la carte". So he claims he remembered me coming in... B.S. My mom is the one that goes to pick it up 99.5% of the time, including this one. You would think he would say, "oh, I'll just give him a new one to keep my customers happy." It's only a ~$5 side, and it prob only costs him $0.50 to make it. Zero customer service skills. I guess they don't teach that in China. Too bad because the place had decent N.Y. style Chinese food. I will never go there again, even if I have to drive 10 miles away to get my Chinese from another place. If you are in the mood for Asian food, go to Thai Pan Alley on Indian Rocks Beach. I know it's farther away, but their food is amazing, I've been frequenting them for 20+ years, and their prices are so low its a wonder how they stay in...
