Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Largo

I came in early afternoon on 4/29 and got a Baja Chicken bowl to go. I then ran one errand and proceeded to go home to eat my lunch. I get there and it was missing the sauce that comes with it. As if it wasn’t annoying enough that I had to get back in my car and drive all the way back up there, but then when I get there and went in with my bag of food, the kid working the register proceeds to give me the 3rd degree as if I was lying and was trying to scam a sauce from them. He even went as far as to request my receipt which I had thrown in there dumpster after scanning it for points. The place was packed and I was thoroughly humiliated over a 25 cent sauce. Clearly I had purchased something from there, I had a bag of food. But to interrogate me over it is ridiculous and completely uncalled for. I stated that I wasn’t trying to scam them for a sauce and that’s when he stated it wasn’t him It was his manager. Maybe someone could explain to him and the manager the difference between monitoring and managing losses vs losing customers over pennies. I love Tropical Smoothie’s food, but after being humiliated over a sauce that they clearly forgot and being inconvenienced to waste half my lunch returning to get it only to be belittled and humiliated by the teenage staff are the reasons I don’t think I will be returning, definitely not to this store and quite possibly the...

Very disgusted with this tropical smoothie location, I enjoy tropical smoothie itself but this location and its employees always seem to have an issue or make an incorrect smoothie or missing items. I called the store they attempted to make it right twice but what’s the point if it’s continuously wrong or improperly made. They have careless new employees that are making wrong smoothies and management seems to be doing nothing about it. That or the provide poor training. It’s ashame. The manager was nice but not accommodating to providing a refund when I stated I would bring the whole meal back that has not been touched due to losing appetite after this altercation and simply stating I just won’t come back any longer after many failed attempts of trying to give this TS another chance since it’s the closest location near me, but he refused, especially when this is a repeated issue and I spend ALOT of money here to have my lunch either picked up; or delivered. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. You don’t get the quality you pay for because it’s more than half the time...
