Aroma Indian Cuisine and Bar - A Culinary Gem in Largo
Aroma Indian Cuisine and Bar is, without a doubt, one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels both cozy and elegant. The ambiance is perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a celebratory gathering.
Service The staff at Aroma are truly exceptional. They are attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely invested in ensuring you have a fantastic dining experience. They took the time to answer our questions about the dishes, offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences, and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.
Food Now, let’s talk about the food—where do I even begin? Every dish we ordered was an explosion of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The menu offers a wide range of options, catering to vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers alike.
We started with the Vegetable Samosas, which were crispy on the outside and filled with a perfectly spiced mixture of potatoes and peas. The accompanying chutneys were fresh and delicious, especially the mint-cilantro chutney, which added a refreshing zing.
For the main course, we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh, and both were absolutely divine. The Chicken Tikka Masala was creamy, rich, and packed with layers of flavor, while the Lamb Rogan Josh was tender and cooked in a beautifully spiced gravy that was the perfect balance of savory and aromatic. We also tried the Dal Makhani, which was velvety and full of deep, smoky flavors.
The bread selection here is incredible, and I highly recommend the Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan—they’re the perfect accompaniments to soak up the flavorful sauces. The rice, too, was fragrant and perfectly cooked, enhancing every bite of the main dishes.
Drinks The bar at Aroma is another highlight. They offer a great selection of cocktails, wines, and beers. I tried their Mango Margarita, and it was an absolute treat—refreshing, fruity, and with just the right kick. My dining companion opted for the Masala Chai, which was warm, comforting, and spiced to perfection.
Desserts Even though we were stuffed, we couldn’t resist trying the desserts. The Gulab Jamun was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the Mango Kulfi was the perfect way to end the meal—rich, creamy, and bursting with tropical flavor.
Cleanliness and Safety The restaurant was spotless, and the staff seemed to take cleanliness and hygiene very seriously, which is always appreciated. The tables were neatly set, and the overall environment was clean and inviting.
Value for Money Given the exceptional quality of food, service, and ambiance, Aroma Indian Cuisine and Bar offers excellent value for money. The portions are generous, and you truly feel like you’re getting a five-star dining experience without breaking the bank.
Conclusion If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine that’s prepared with love, care, and attention to detail, Aroma Indian Cuisine and Bar in Largo is the place to go. It’s clear that the chefs here are passionate about their craft, and it shows in every dish. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough and can’t wait to return to try more of their incredible offerings.

Read moreUpdated Response: Interesting of the business to change their original review response hours after posting one expressing their apologies. Is this enough proof for you? I’ve sent my original receipt, the email I sent, the call log from when we spoke to a manager, and YOUR original response. Clearly we are not the only people you treat like this based on the other well-deserved bad reviews you’ve received. All of your responses, which are AI generated (they confirmed themselves on a yelp review), mention these so called “competitors” leaving these bad reviews yet few reviews actually show you expressing your disappointment in the business you’ve created and allowed to run like this. The management and staff here are extremely unprofessional (as everyone can so clearly see), which is why you’re really getting these reviews, not because competitors are out to get you. I mentioned another small business people could redirect their business to because I would hate to see anyone else have to put up with such classless behavior. Avoid this place at all costs!
Original Review: Was very excited to try this place out, with seeing all the good reviews! We placed an order online for butter chicken, came to the restaurant at pickup time, and come to find out they had yet to start making our order even though it did not appear to be busy. They seemed shocked I actually showed up. Thirty minutes later, we received our food. Unfortunately, both our orders of butter chicken had very minuscule amounts of chicken (that had quite the rubbery consistency) and consisted of mainly incredibly watery sauce- which both had different tastes despite being the same exact thing. Confused, because of the good reviews, we emailed and asked about it- no response. We called a few days later and the manager was not helpful and did not seem to care. Hoping this was just a misunderstanding and one time thing, but unfortunately I do not think we will be back. Especially for how pricey it is, I would expect a better response from management. Go to Curries off of 19 instead if you want good food for a better price- AND better service!
Edit: And I would also like to say, I’m not one to write bad reviews. I work in the industry, and know things can be challenging and people can be difficult. But the service from the staff/manager paired with quality of the food (especially given the price) made me feel the need to...
Read moreIt was good while it lasted. We’ve been costumers since Aromas opened years ago. Recommend calling ahead. The service wasn’t great over the years, at times it was terrible, but the food was good enough for us to overlook the service. We last ate there in early May 2022, apparently just as new management took over, we tried in Mid April and they were closed to paint- didn’t update on google or their website, they were just closed. When we went in May the table service was improved over previous management, but there was less food (2 entrees shared 1 rice bowl), less spice palate in the curry and it was really hard to get chutneys. I’m more than happy to pay for some tamarind chutney for my naan, but they said they don’t do that. They were also unfamiliar with menu items. This is the only time we got food at Aromas under new management, while the service was better, the experience was lacking.
Later in the year, we drove by and there was a sign advertising “daily lunch buffet”. We went on a Saturday in January and there was no buffet available- despite multiple signs outside advertising “daily lunch buffet”. We left and went somewhere else for lunch, as the buffet was why we were going.
Today we tried again, the plan was buffet or order off the menu if there wasn’t enough options that we liked. I lean towards vegetarian options and couldn’t get confirmation on what the unlabeled curry was that was on the buffet. We probably would have stayed if the buffet cost better reflected the options- that is more like a $15-17 buffet. We left again because the normal menu wasn’t available at lunch and I couldn’t justify $23 for an unknown vegetarian curry and a few appetizers.
Three out of four visits to the new Aromas resulted in no food, when we got food it was fine but lacked the previous flavor palate. Every disappointment results in months before returning. Again, the service used to be terrible under previous management, but at least we got food and it was delicious. The one time we got food under new management, the experience was frustrating and the food wasn’t good enough to make up for it. Normally we wouldn’t give that many chances, but we used to enjoy Aromas enough to keep giving it another chance. Today was that last time giving...
