I have used this salon and spa on several occasions. The first time I visited was for my wedding. I had my nails done as well as facial waxing. The nails were beautiful but the waxing burnt my face. This was particularly frustrating because I informed them I had very sensitive skin and requested they be cautious as my wedding was the next day. After the lip burning it took me a long time to return. I did, however return to have my hair cut because I like the fact they use a lot of organic products. My stylest is fantastic and the environment is lovely. I decided to try some extensions as suggested by my stylist. I purchased a package of hair. 3 tabs of hair were strategically placed and it looked great. However, after several visits I realized I was being charged A LOT for the application of 3 tabs of hair. The price was increased without so much as a word and I didn't realize it until the service was completed. Resurfacing the 3 pieces of hair cost $50.00. This basically means, it cost $50 to clean the hair and put new sticky tabs on the hair. I contacted the manager who told me the price went up. Fine, I accepted this, although, I feel this should be disclosed PRIOR to the service. I decided I would have the tabs removed during my next visit. I had the appointment last week. I was already quite upset because I didn't want to remove the extensions but at this point, felt taken advantage of with the pricing. At the end of the appointment another surprise! $50 to remove the 3 pieces of hair. I've never been charged this before so I asked why the price was so high. I was told they usually remove that fee because I have the 3 pieces of hair put back in. Since I chose not to do that, they were charging me $50. I asked why this was so much for 3 pieces of hair and was told the number of extensions did not matter. Again, I had no idea of the cost until after the service was completed. I can not believe they would charge $50 to remove 3 pieces of hair, a task that took 10 minutes or less. Furthermore, I could have done it myself with a little spray. There is no way I would have known about this price because it was not charged in the past. I find the cost of absolutely ridiculous and I resent learning the prices after the service is completed. I really really like my stylist but I don't know if I can get past the manager's comfort with spending my money and the nonchalant attitude when I mention these things should be disclosed. My husband called 4 days ago and asked to speak with the manager regarding billing practices and she never returned his call.
I guess in summary, the customer service is horrible. The manager is aloof and they don't mind spending your money without disclosing the cost. Even when they burnt my upper lip the day before my wedding, they made no effort to correct the error. This is not my first high end salon so I am able to compare across various locations and services. That being said, there are many lovely things about this salon such as recycling, good products, my hairstylist is great and the environment is nice. However, the poor customer service is difficult to accept.

Extremely welcoming, clean, spa-like atmosphere and everyone is super friendly - you are immediately happy and relaxed just walking in the door. Relatively easy to schedule appts and very reasonable pricing, especially considering the level of talent and higher quality experience overall. I will continue going here indefinitely (or follow Natalie if she leaves) I have gone here twice so far for highlights with NATALIE - super sweet and a colorist magician! I have very fine hair that has thinned out significantly in recent months -previous highlights damaged my hair beyond repair (I assumed), so I didn't expect a miracle. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to continue processing my hair, because I assumed it would only continue to destroy what's left of my hair. Natalie took the time to really listen and talk to me about my concerns and what I actually wanted my hair to look like - and in a single visit, my hair was literally transformed. I walked in with dry, sad, lifeless, brittle brassy-blonde hair (with grey / dark roots) ....and walked out a very happy girl, with significantly healthier hair, along with the exact color and beautiful highlights I wanted. NO damage, NO down time waiting for my hair to calm down after coloring - it was beautiful day one and stayed that way for months. I didn't think this result was even possible! 2nd visit was more of the same - happy, healthy, shiny hair with perfect highlights. They also recommended a few organic products to try, and I LOVE them all - unlike other "natural" products I have tried over the years, the products from Midori are actually quite effective at cleaning my hair without stripping or leaving residue and smell heavenly. Read moreSINCE WHEN DOES THE SALON DECIDE WHEN YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR SERVICE YOU PAID FOR???? I had an appointment with the head stylist Star at Midori Eco Salon located at 225 W. Bay Dr. Largo FL 33770 on 4/20/22 at 11:30 AM I called because I was running 10 minutes behind and wanted to ask is I could still keep my appointment. When I showed up, Star proceeded to do half the services I was booked for, when I said something about it, she agreed to do do the color that was left out of my booked services. It took several attempts to get my color good enough to fight traffic going home. I also was booked to have my .tape in hair extensions moved up as well, which were very uncomfortable and began to tear my hair. I called the salon to set an appointment to come back in and fix my concerns and I was told by the salon owner Aundrea, that the Midori salon had done all they are going to do for me and I should seek a salon elsewhere to fix the problem. I asked for a refund so I could do so and no response was given.
