Arby's — Restaurant in Las Cruces

I hadn't been here for a long time. There are those who are devoted to Arby's roast beef, but I've never been one. But I was in the mood for a taste of horseradish which I love. I ordered a double meat sandwich with cheddar cheese. It certainly did have lots of meat in it as advertised and warm cheddar cheese oozed over it. If you like Arby's roast beef, you'll be very pleasantly filled up with this sandwich. Unfortunately the sauce bar was empty and the sandwich was served with as many little plastic packages of horseradish sauce as I wanted. The sauce also had the same bland taste as the meat. This was understandable. Most people don't enjoy the sharp, pungent taste of horseradish in the way I do. The decor has been updated and was clean and pleasant. Service ranged from surly to exceptionally cheerful among the many employees on duty during the mid afternoon when I went. I thought the food was an excellent value for the price. Normally I hate arbys, and refuse to go. I mean, the food either sucks, or costs the soul of your 1st born child, or both... but some times they send out a coupon or 2 that are for something that's not garbage, and that gets it down to a half way decent price.

If you think I'm being overly critical or exaggerating, I would like you to try and think of the last time you went to an arby's and saw it busy. Or better yet, when was the last time you saw 5 or more customers in an arby's at 1 time?

Anyways, I say if you wanna go to any arby's, just wait for a paper in the mail with a bunch of coupons, then check the ones that say buy one get one, and I suggest the chicken ones. Funny that a roast beef sammich place has better chicken...

The food here is what you'd expect from any Arby's. Although I will say that I've never experienced the dried out beef here that I have sometimes gotten at other Arby's. However, the inside of this place is terrible. It desperately needs a renovation. It looks so run down it makes me feel dirty just walking inside. It's not actually dirty though, it is just so incredibly rundown. I gave it 4 stars because they food and the staff are great (the staff is always very friendly here).
