This place is hit and miss depending on if the lady or man is working. We came back twice after we had a great experience when the lady was working. The servings were plentiful considering they are expensive for 5 rolled tacos. The two times after the guy was working and taquitos are dry! See phot where one has nothing on it! Your’re struggling to get guacamole and sour cream on the tacos because they barely put any on them. The price is a rip off when the guy is working. You don’t even need a fork when he’s making the tacos. We are searching out a new taco shop now that we’ve had two disappointing experiences in a row. We had hoped the bad experience was a one time mistake but clearly it wasn’t. We don’t mind paying more when the helpings are worth it but when they cheap out like they are trying to short you to save money they are sure to lose customers. And they lost us!!

Love good Mexican food! And showing up to try this place on Taco Tuesday is awesome! Same mini tacos that are usually 5 for $12 are available for only $1.50 and mix and match to your heart’s content. I just ordered 4 and it was perfect size for my lunch. This is a no frills atmosphere and I can only speak to the mini tacos but they were all fantastic. The staff is friendly and smiling and the food came out quickly and piping hot. I wish I wasn’t just passing through because this is my kind of eatery. Recommended

Honemade fast food at its best. The tacos are made to order, and just like grandma used to make. Large portions, so you will be very satisfied. At reasonable prices, this is central Las Cruces's go to fast food drive thru Mexican cuisine. Really looking forward to diving deeper into their complete menu. If it was half as good as our first visit, we will return over and over agian. Red hot sauce is blazing hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got chicken tacos and they were just gross. I went here because La Caretta was closed and I tried to recreate what La Caretta had mastered.

1 chicken taco plate comes with TWO tacos. It is $13 btw. The guy at the drive thru said the tacos would “definitely fill me up” and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. I got 2 extra tacos (for a ridiculous $9, a side of salsa for $5, and a side of onions for $2).

I spent $33 at this place just to fill myself up and when I pulled the boxes out of their plastic bag, they were SO light! There was not nearly enough meat in both of those overpriced boxes COMBINED to fill anyone up.

I popped open the tacos and saw a very small portion nasty slimy chicken that looked like they pulled it from the remains of a thrown away rotisserie chicken. It looked nasty.

The salsa was completely watery and sucked. And the shells were SO HARD that I had to remove most of the shell to save my teeth.

I’m extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this awful place to anyone. The rice was flavorless and dry. The beans looked straight out of a Walmart can. I am...

I’m in town visiting from California. I was hoping to find a place for a great Burrito. Well, ended up finding Ricardo’s and I’ve been there 3 times thus far.

Ordered the Breakfast Burrito the 1st time, which was great. Everything taste freshly made and I will gladly wait the time it takes to get my food that hot and fresh anytime. Tried the Shrimp Burrito and the Surf & Turf as well. Fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious. If you aren’t used to spicy food, just ask for no Chipotle sauce or else you’ll end up crying like some of the bad reviews on here. Salsa is meant to be spicy and delicious…. Ricardo scores with theirs….both Red and Green.

If you are a fan of Tripas, get some tacos or ask to see if a burrito is an option. Hot and crispy as they should be. Can’t stand the soggy stuff. You won’t be disappointed.

Ricardo’s seems to be a Family Owned restaurant and the staff is awesome. Very friendly and they greet you as their “Amigo” each and every time. I’ll gladly be back Amigos. See you again soon and thank you for putting Love...

I decided to give this place a shot today for the first time and let me just say, they prices are insane. I got my husband a shrimp cocktail and it had BARELY any shrimp in it at all, and it was pretty prices, I think I paid $13 just for that, THEN I got myself a taco plate and they said it only came with 2 tacos which is weird because most places give you 3 or 4 for a taco plate that expensive, so I asked them to add 2, they did, but my total for the taco plate with 2 extra tacos, and the shrimp cocktail was $32.21 I’m sorry but that’s steep as heck, I have never paid so much for 2 people to eat, and when I got my tacos the meat was really dry. I won’t be returning, I made the mistake of giving it a shot, lesson learned. I honestly had half a mind to call and ask for a partial refund just for the shrimp cocktail alone, being so short on shrimp but I’ll just take the loss. This isn’t one of those places that make you crave their food later on, it’s more of the type of place that gets people who come once, and then...
