It's okay. I get that this is a new business and I love to support local business owners, but there is so much room for improvement. I look forward to seeing how they grow and change and will visit again when they get all the kinks worked out. Location is strange, entering and exiting the parking lot is odd, and the number of EV charging spots seems disproportionate. The set up of the actual restaurant doesn't flow well, as soon as you walk in you're essentially face to face with a dining table, it's awkward. The music is too loud for conversation. The menu is difficult to read, I'd suggest cycling categories so the descriptions are easier to read if you aren't right at the counter. There were so many people behind the counter but the food was meh. Overall, it lacked flavor and didn't live up to expectation. I ordered a BLT and an horchata latte. It was impossible to distinguish the horchata flavor and it mostly just tasted like coffee. Also, the cups they currently have are terrible. They are flimsy and difficult to hold without leaking or worrying you're going to drop your drink! The BLT was advertised as coming on a green chile waffle, it had no kick and barely tasted like anything either. There were three thin and sad pieces of bacon and the sauce they included with the sandwich lacked flavor, I literally couldn't determine what it was meant to taste like. I understand that some things need to be prepped in advanced, but it was obvious that the waffle was cooked way before I ordered, it wasn't even warm, it really took away from the experience. Furthermore, there didn't seem to be anyone that was bussing or cleaning tables. It was difficult to figure out what to do with our plates when we were done. Again, with so many people working someone should be in charge of cleaning up the...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite coffee place in town. Unfortunately on our last visit, we saw the store manager yell and belittle staff members in front of customers. We witnessed an employee sobbing due to mistreatment from leadership. To the point my 4 year old daughter was scared and concerned. Roasted Rooster is not a family-friendly environment and I refuse to support a business that treats their staff so poorly. I would like to add that I’ve never done a review for any establishment but this experience was so poor I felt like it was my obligation to let the community know. I will not be returning and will tell my family and friends to not come here unless there is a change in leadership. If I was the owner of this business I would be very concerned as the store manager is single-handedly diminishing the reputation and driving away customers. Extremely disappointed.
Update: Rather than responding to constructive feedback. This business chooses to generate falsified positive reviews to maintain their image. Very indicative of their values: Not addressing customer experience or leadership but masking it by having others try to cover up the issue. It’s okay the city of Las Cruces can see the truth even though this business tries to undermine their customers. Conflict of...
Read moreDisappointed is an understatement. I honestly thought a chicken and waffles place would have chicken and waffles. They have soggy chicken nuggets and the waffles aren't dense like a waffle should bee. And the green chili cheese sauce was basically flavored water. See attached video. Also, the menu claims that they have maple syrup and they don't. They have mass produced corn syrup. There is no physical menu for us older folks to look at and the staff doesn't seem happy to work there and they aren't very knowledgeable about their products. This place is basically over priced fast food. Wendy's is way better and I do not even like fast food. . EDIT: Thank you for responding. If you're about to offer a free meal, I don't want it, I don't plan on eating water sauce again, even if it is free. If you are really interested in what you can do to actually make it right.....
