Food was good, the service was absolutely terrible. We had Jonathan as our server. My step dad asked if they had smaller bowls of clam chowder, and Jonathan said they only have one size and it can be split.
My step dad was asking if anyone wanted to share with him, and I was only getting the clam chowder so I told my step dad I was hoping to get my own bowl because it was the only thing I was ordering.
At this point, Jonathan rudely interjected and said âWell itâs a big bowl.â I shouldnât have to explain myself for wanting my own bowl of clam chowder, especially when I was speaking to my family and not him in that moment.
As we continued to eat, my parents asked for some extra of the brown oat rolls (they have a variety of rolls and they liked those the best). To this Jonathan responded, âFinish what you have first.â When they said they were hoping to get the brown rolls specifically, he pointed to the different type of roll and said âYou have two more right there.â
He left without saying anything and then returned a few minutes later with a basket of the rolls they wanted and plopped them on the table without saying anything.
Itâs fine if thatâs the rule, but donât treat your customers like theyâre children. Not to mention he walked by our table multiple times to check on other tables, only rarely stopping by ours.
This place has always been one of my favorites, but the food is not worth having a the...
Read moreSo this is the famous Oyster Bar. Let me say first off. I could not find Santa Fe station on here that is the one we went to in Summerlin. The reason we drove so far is every time you go to anyone of these oyster bars you are waiting an hour in line. We saw this on Instagram and they said thereâs never any wait so we decided to try it. Let me tell you, it is worth the drive! We walked right up to the bar got a seat. The food was made fresh while you sit there. Drinks were great and so was the service. But the food, oh my the food! So, so amazing we ordered one dish and split it and still I took some home. It was the best seafood I have ever had away from an ocean. Lol and their sourdough bread, OMG!! I am not a big bread, but let me tell you I couldâve eaten the whole thing myself. It was the best sourdough I have ever eaten in my life. The first basket is free and if you want second, itâs only 2.99, unheard of in Vegas. Yes youâve heard me right itâs under three dollars. 𤣠Itâs definitely worth the drive out to Summerlin if you donât live close because there is no weight and the food is just as good...
Read moreAfter I read about this new place that opened at sun coast, we decided to give it a try. My husband and I ordered deer creek and fanny bay oysters. We also ordered yellowtail sashimi. The fanny bay had a nice clean taste. I spit it out the deer creek oyster, however, as soon as I tasted it, it was disgusting! After I spoke to the server, who was helpful, we decided to continue trying the rest. When they brought out he yellowtail sashimi plate, I immediately noticed the fish was not fresh and turned brown for the most part. We pointed out to the server and she sent the chef over. At the beginning, the chef claimed that's how yellowtail looked. After telling him I have never seen yellowtail this brown color after eating yellowtail sashimi for years, he finally admitted that the yellowtail was being served in two ways: first day yellowtail and second day yellowtail..... and the one we were being served was the second day yellowtail.... WHAT? has anyone heard about second day brown color yellowtail sashimi? The health department should really check on this place and they should be on...
