First, kudos to the young lady working – she was incredibly friendly and seemed to be managing everything alone, which was clearly too much. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and drinks. The food itself was shockingly bad. My tuna sandwich was inedible; the tuna was green and looked old, and the bread wasn't even toasted. My daughter's turkey sandwich was utterly basic to compare it to a sandwich prison sandwich and my boyfriend's salmon bagel had barely any salmon, tasting distinctly like it was from a can. I would also like to add that the sandwiches came with the side of Romain lettuce.. (no chips, no pickle) $7.00! Our 'large' drinks were also surprisingly small. What truly ruined the visit was the owner's behavior. While her only employee was swamped, the owner was relaxed, sitting with her husband. When my significant other tried to politely explain our disappointment with the food quality – for instance, pointing out that tuna sandwiches are typically served on toasted bread – the owner became extremely argumentative and dismissive. Her response was basically, 'Did you ask for it toasted?' This confrontational attitude, even after she offered a partial refund ($25), showed a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. This was a total nightmare, and we will never return. It's truly a shame to see...
Read moreWhile traveling from CO to NM we had the pleasure of stopping at this beautiful cafe for the first time and got delicious coffee, food and lovely conversation with the owner. Their menu has lots of options for goodies, food and drinks, we ordered americanos, the green chile chicken croissant, salmon lox bagel with capers, a chocolate treat and a waffle for our toddler. Portions were good, everything was flavorful and the coffee was amazing. While traveling we always like to stretch our legs by walking the plaza and this cafe is such a wonderful addition to the area offering much more than food but also live music, gifts and art. I highly recommend travelers to drive the extra minutes to take in the beauty of the town and support small...
Read moreMy sister & I stopped here in hopes of experiencing delicious food/drinks. The cafe was set up very beautifully & welcoming.. However, we were never helped. Staff stared at us without even greeting us or saying a word as they carried conversation amongst themselves. We stood in the cafe for no less than 10 minutes. It was not even busy. Everyone who was in the cafe had already been helped & were seated with their food/drinks. Safe to say, we walked out awkwardly. It was a negative first experience to say the least. I hope others are treated differently as we had high hopes for this place. We will not be trying again. Cafe Calibri could never replace our beloved...
