Ordered through UberEats. I ordered the Big Mac Classic Shareable Meal for Two, 2 Hot & Spicy Chicken Sandwiches with no lettuce, no mayonnaise and add pickles.
UberEats was fast, friendly and perfect.
The McDonald's food was cold, missing and wrong items.
I contacted UberEats and they immediately refunded my money for the 2 Hot & Spicy Chicken Sandwiches. Of course there was nothing they could do about the missing and/wrong condiments.
I then contacted the McDonald's to see if they had my missing food. The man that answered was rude, short, condencending and blamed everything on UberEats.
I asked him why he blamed them for how the order was cooked and packaged. He said that what is on the attached receipt on the bag is what is inside. I said NO, the receipt was attached to the sealed bag and they packaged the order which was wrong and missing items. He again blamed UberEats. He said he had no extra food so UberEats must have done something wrong.
I told him that he just didn't get it and then I hung up.
This left me so frustrated with McDonald's. I know everyone has an off day sometimes and that they were busy, but don't blame someone else for your mistakes. Make sure the customer is taken care of because they are spending their hard earned money on your product. I've worked in the customer service business for years and I would never blame someone else for an error on our part.
Come on Decatur McDonald's. Your better than that. You're a new building and I know you have to work out the rough edges, but this isn't the first time I've received wrong orders and/or missing items from this store. Even when I'm there in person. In fact, I've never received a correct order...

I am always polite and make it a point to say âThank you,â yet the younger employee consistently displays microaggressive and dismissive behavior toward me during my visits. This time, I ordered a fresh baked cream pie. When I received it, it was cold instead of warm. I politely requested a refund.Instead of handling my request professionally, the younger employee took the bag, closed the window abruptly, and walked away. The older employee then came to handle the refund but was equally dismissive, arguing with me about the pie being âfreshâ and slamming the window in my face.I later signaled for the younger employee and asked why she always has an attitude when I come through. She raised her voice, accused me of having an attitude, and slammed the window again. At no point was I disrespectfulâŚI only expressed dissatisfaction with the product and requested a refund. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
