What a chaotic and frustrating experience dining at this restaurant for the first time. When we arrived and approached the counter to order, a lady took our order but instead of writing it down, she asked us to repeat the order several times so she could get it straight although it wasn't very complicated at all....was suppose to be 1 order of the Award Winning Fish Tacos plus 3 tacos (2 fish & 1 steak) and a side order of rice and beans. Once we thought she finally had it correct, we proceeded to the cashier where a young man asked us what we ordered so he could ring it up. I thought, really, we have to go through this AGAIN? The cashier was even more confused and we had to repeat and correct the order 4 times before we thought he had finally gotten it correct. The 1st lady then came over to the cashier to help him and she was still confused on our order and asked us "How many fish tacos total?" We responded that there should be a total of 5 fish tacos (3 flour & 2 corn tortillas).
After paying, the cashier then realized that he hadn't charged us for the order of 3 tacos (2 fish + 1 steak) so he had to ring those up separately. After we sat down to wait for our order, the lady called us up again to ask what we wanted on the steak taco.
Once we received our order, it still wasn't correct! The plate with the 3 tacos (2 fish + 1 steak) was correct but the 2nd one that was supposed to be their Award Winning Fish Tacos only had 2 tacos, when the order board clearly stated that entree came with 3 tacos. I brought the basket up to the counter and explained that I had only received 2 fish tacos in the order and it was supposed to be 3 and both the cashier and the lady making the food were very confused and didn't understand. Not sure if it was a language barrier or if they just were completely unfamiliar with the menu.
I finally got the 3rd fish taco and luckily everything tasted good but what should have been a simple and relaxing experience trying out this restaurant for the first time was very disappointing and we probably will not return because of it.
There are many restaurants in the area that provide this same type of quick Mexican food without the hassle of having to state and restate our order over and over and then it ended up being incorrect anyway. These employees should be given a notepad or tablet to enter the orders on when they are taken from a customer, if they have trouble remembering a simple orer, rather than asking a customer to repeat over and over again.
Additionally, the total of our 2 meals was $40 (2 transactions), which in my opinion is very expensive for fast food Mexican food without any beverages. $7 just for a side of rice and...
Read moreI give them a 3star star because the food was amazing for my partner n I. We wanted mexican food last minute, my partner was like let’s try Ori’Z. She knows when I’m hungry I don’t like trying new spots, but hey you only live once! I placed the order around 9:19 said it will be ready at 9:46. I arrive at 9:40 so I say hey let me grab some panda for my daughter since it’s next door and I have 6 mins to spare. I finally make it into Ori about 9:48. When I walked in one lady was leaning over the register on the phone. A young lady telling the cook a life story. No biggie they about to close! I say hello I’m here to pick up my order for Dee. The girl grabs the receipt of the wall and says I will make it. I stated, why is the order not done? I placed over 20mins ago. (Place empty) she never replied she started making the food. Once she was done. I asked again, and she started to explain what I saw when I walked and and I smiled and said that’s ok and to please provide me a manger information. This place deserves a 5 star it was very clean and neat. To top it off everything we ate was amazing the chicken burrito and shrimp nachos! Great price! Unfortunately, the customer service needs some work. I will definitely give another try (something I rarely do) when service is not right)and I would recommend this place. Just not before close, food might not be ready if your looking to grab and go after placing an...
Read moreThe staff, especially the manager, is consistently hostile, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere everytime I come here. She never greets, serves noticeably smaller portions, and insists on charging extra for even minor requests. I will no longer be visiting this franchise, despite my love for Ori'Zaba's. I will also be informing my family, who have lived in the Centennial Hills area for years, to avoid this location as well. I’ve seen plenty of reviews on here regarding the staff, management, and overcharging being an issue and it’s a shame that their upper management does nothing about it.
My most recent visit was particularly unacceptable. The manager (one of the employees in a grey shirt) argued with me after incorrectly charging and preparing my order. Instead of simply fixing the mistake and adjusting the price or just remaking what I asked for, she insisted on creating a back and forth argument between us with no solution and told me repeatedly that I'm wrong. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially in an area where customers are willing to pay for a quality experience. I strongly urge upper management to evaluate the leadership at this location. The Durango area deserves better than the consistently poor service this...
