My recent experience at Popeyes was quite disappointing. Firstly, the customer service left much to be desired. It took an excruciating 29 minutes to receive my food, and during that time, I observed several customers walking away due to the long wait, which is not a good sign for any business. One of the most frustrating aspects was the continuous shortage of chicken. They even informed customers that it would take an additional 35 minutes to prepare chicken, causing more people to abandon their orders. This not only results in lost business but also leaves a bad impression.
To make matters worse, they were out of coleslaw and red bean rice, limiting the available options on the menu. The lack of variety was disappointing.
Inside the restaurant, there were six employees, but it seemed chaotic with no clear direction. Four customers were waiting for their orders, and no one was at the front counter, taking orders or assembling them. In most fast-food places, there is a well-organized team, with one person frying chicken and preparing sides, while another is focused on assembling orders. Unfortunately, this was not the case at this particular Popeyes.
Another concerning observation was that the cashier was also handling cash without washing her hands before handling the chicken, which is a significant hygiene issue.
Additionally, during my visit to this Popeyes, I noticed an employee who was not working effectively. Instead of assisting customers or contributing to the efficiency of the service, this employee was ordering chicken, throwing paper around, and engaging in casual chit-chat with the other employees. This behavior was especially frustrating as there were six people in line waiting for their orders, and it was clear that this employee's lack of focus was adding to the delays and disorganization in the restaurant.
To add to the frustration, there was a customer who had been waiting for 25 minutes for a sandwich. Instead of resolving the issue, the cashier argued with the customer and, to my disbelief, rolled her eyes and said, "I don't have to take this." It's essential for staff to handle customer complaints professionally, especially when the restaurant's service is clearly struggling.
So, it seems like Popeyes is living up to their slogan, "We don't make sense; we make chicken," but in reality, the lack of organization, customer service issues, and unprofessional behavior from staff make their slogan...
Read moreThis may my WORST fast food experience in my life. I left this location yesterday AFTER 45 minutes of waiting WITH NO FOOD AND NO REFUND OF MY $30. The manager claimed she cannot be of assistance canceling or refunding orders and I need to reach out to customer service via the Popeyes app. After I went inside and stated I wanted a refund because who’s waiting an hour for Popeyes, the app then switched from “your order is being prepared” to “your food is waiting for you” so I’m sure that’s a way that they used to cover the fact that orders were not coming out or avoiding giving me a refund. SECONDLY, THERE WAS PLENTY OF FOOD, chicken, biscuits, etc just SITTING on the burner going to waste. People were there before me, still waiting for food. Many people left without their good because they told us all to wait in the front while they make “fresh chicken”. We all wanted a refund and the management was horrible. She was not kind, understanding or taking accountability that NOBODY IS ACTUALLY THE MAKING ORDERS but the food is sitting there. Not to be rude but go to the Vegas blvd location, I’ve never had an issue there. This was my first time at this location and I’m telling you I will not be returning and recommending that you don’t waste your time. It’s the next day, I have no email response or a refund. Instead the location processed my order as completed, picked up and kept my money. I have reached out to corporate management because just taking my money IS CRAZY...
Read moreOk so normally I wouldn't give a 5 star across the board review on any fast food restaurants but let me tell you this rock star team was fantastic. First off this is probably the cleanest Popeyes I've ever walked into. The entire time the crew, including the manager, was cleaning. The manager was cleaning tables while we ordered. We sat at our booth and not seconds later the gentleman came thru with a sweeper. Not a spot of dust even on the window sill.
There is service with a smile, and then there is service from the heart because you enjoy your job. This crew clearly enjoy their job. The entire environment showed that fact in the laughter, energy, cleanliness, and service. Quiet singing from the back, dancing with the broom as he cleaned, even the drive thru seemed to be humming along. The manager even checked in with us like a 5 star restaurant.
I had a long rough drive out to vegas, after an even longer and rougher week. The energy, vibe, and generally great service gave me a huge smile for the remainder of my day. I'm sincerely saddened that I have no pictures, and didn't catch anyone's names for this review because they definitely deserve the praise.
We ordered chicken sandwichs as we just needed a quick lunch before we got on the plane. The food was fresh made, crispy and delicious just as expected. Perfect amount of condiments...
