The food was great & pretty fast if you go inside. I have never tried the drive thru at this location as it is always slammed. I live directly across the street & it's always hopping. Drive-thru does move pretty quickly, considering how popular Canes is in this neighborhood. Plus, being located in the parking lot with plenty of shopping makes it an easy spot to grab some quick eats. Staff is super friendly. Gentleman who took our order was making cute corny jokes having to do with the Candy Cane plush pup for ASPCA donations. Which of course we had to have one. He went out of his way to get us to smile, giving us feeding & care instructions for our new rescue plush pup as though it was a live puppy rescue. All without holding up the line. I unfortunately did not catch the cashier's name & it was not listed on the receipt anywhere. But it was Check #20229; on 11/30/2024; at 7:27pm; store location 10050 W Sahara Ave Las Vegas, NV 98117 I have lived directly across the street from a little over a year. I admit I had always avoided the Canes because of the never-ending line of cars in the drive-thru. But after this visit I will come by more often to dine in, because of that employee. It is rare that someone takes the time to really make your experience spacial. To leave you smiling & and get your order right too. Read moreFood is tasty but beware! If you order through their drive-thru, check what they give you before leaving the pickup window. I ordered two Caniac combos, which should have included: Six pieces of chicken, french fries, two raising cane sauces, one toast and a tiny container of cole slaw. I checked my order before leaving the pickup window, and to my surprise there were only four pieces of chicken in one box and five pieces of chicken in the other box. We made the girl at the window aware, she didn't apologize and threw at us a couple of small chicken strips in a little container, then she quickly proceeded to close the window behind her. We waited for her once again and we told her we were still missing one chicken strip, she closed the window and talked to a guy inside, she came back and she threw at us one chicken strip in a small container, no apologies given. When we tried to ask her about who was the supervisor, she went inside and closed the window behind her. They were not even busy when this happened, we were the only ones in the drive-thru. I understand it is a fast food restaurant, but they should be careful with the orders, they are not that cheap and if you don't check it, you'll notice the mistake when you get home. To the girl at the drive through today, she has no future, her customer service skills are non-existent. She needs to...
Read moreWe may never know which came first, the chicken or the egg, but we do know Guthrie's came first.
A quick wikipedia search will show you that the menu similarities between Guthrie's and Raising Cane's isn't a coincidence. So as a long time Guthrie's supporter (and extraordinaire) I had to see what all the fuss was about with this rapidly exploding imitation establishment.
I'm going to give my raw, unbiased opinion.
I order a 'Caniac' Box, subbed the coleslaw for extra fries because there should be no other order.
-Chicken 8/10 Obviously very good, but the breading comes off too quickly because of the size of their fingers. Come-on! go for quality over size.
-Fries 4/10 Man these are not good, and I never thought I would give any fry in my life less than 8. Did they dump a bag of double frozen Ore-Ida crinkles in a fryer and hope for the best?
-Sauce 10/10 I mean yeah this is literally Guthrie's sauce, but now the world knows about it. Nice copy. But their portions did not allow me to have it on every bite.
-Toast 7/10 Quite good texas toast and much better than Guthrie's, but let's be real it's just a vessel for the sauce.
Overall great, but what wouldn't be after...
