I am new on going to places like public libraries.. The first one i visited is located by the CSN campus!! The moment you walked in, the place smelled like manure , there were individuals going through homelessnes sleeping everywhere, pee stains on the carpets, no where to sit down, and majority of the computers were taken by sleepers/homeless!!
When i brought it to the attention of the front desk representatives, their response was "its a public space, they have the right to be here"..
I just walked out and never returned!!
I drove a LOT Further, down to the Windmill and Rainbow Location, by far the Cleanest, very few to almost none of the "experience" like the location by the CSN College campus !!
The issue with that located is the SCREAMING running toddlers with no correction of behavior from parents while Property employees would look at each other from the corners of their eyes "gossiping" about the issue they did nothing about!! After About 5 visits, i just couldn't do it anymore!!
I attempted the location on Sahara and Fort Apache, where on my first visit a guard under the name of KEN, showed visible and verbal frustration at individuals getting ready to walk in as it was already 10am, stating "Dont walk In Yet, I havent allowed you in yet"... having everyone puzzled as to why they coudnt walk in at the times the Library says its OPEN!! I have been visiting this location a few times now, and each time KEN Continued showing verbal aggression towards civilians attempting to enter at opening hours!! Place is a decent size, plenty pf space, natural lighting is great, decent amount of places to sit down and plug in, However seems to welcome its transients, which they never clean up after and its obvious!! the smell lingers, the stains are most definitely visible, and employees walk on eggshells around them!! I witnessed a female putting a DID in her large heavy bag pointing it out to one of the employees who just responded with "ok", and kept minding his own, later complaining to his co worker that items keep missing from the floor!!
I have always been the type to pay attention to detail, its my curse and my blessing!! I witnessed an employee eat a bagel behind his desk, while knowing their "rule" of not eating at the library, i just kept to myself, today i had a few bites of my breakfasts, being very discrete and respectful of my surroundings, Ken walks up to me a few minutes later, i wasnt eating, food was just sitting at my desk space like it has multiple times before with no issues, however this guard feel extra "authorative" today telling me i cant eat here, i responded with OK and kept doing my own thing, he literally sat there STARRING at me!! I looked at him responding "OK".. at which point he walked away, i put my food away when i was ready!! This male definitely has authority challenges, which from what i can tell hell get anywhere and however way he can!! No matter how small!! Ken definitely needs a reminder of his job responsibilities and the definition for "DE-ESCALATION"!!
When i asked the same associate i pointed out the DID theft to , stating that i had witnessed his co worker eat at his desk, and that i ddnt think that me being questioned falls within their "guidelines" especially when it comes to consistency of following their policy and their own "rules".. His response was "its not my job to tell my co worker he cant eat here".. "its a library policy that you cant eat here"!!
just listening to his thought process and the tonality he used to talk to me was enough for me to understand it was an "us" against you thing so I just walk off and do what the next best thing!! Leave an honest review on here!!
The library itself is decent, the internet is slow and constantly have to reboots, the screaming kids is to a minimal, the smell is not as bad as other locations, and if you can ignore the ignorance that comes with most "customer service" industries.. youll be content!!

Read moreWent in you use the computer room and everything went smoothly and very quickly. The only negative was the adult male next to me playing video games, instead of a controller obviously he only had the mouse...he was banging it being too loud the entire 2 hours. And he wasn't a very kind individual at all. I asked if he could watch my computer while I used the restroom and he responds to me in a ride and nasty tone I am not responsible for your items! Bruh calm down there isn't anyone even in here but us and we are in a semi enclosed area...but I digress I kept that all to myself and said okay no worries I understand. I lightly touched his form arm, I was just communicating I get it no problem when he tells don't touch me! I looked around as if I was being punk'd. I'm 5 ft 1in talk and he looked like he was at least 6ft 2in maybe taller and my point is why are you so angry homie? Again I was just thinking in my head civility costs nothing, this is great example of a proud negative person will try to effect your day by any means lol. I grab my folder and three pieces of paper and pen and my two phone charges my drink and my bag of chips it went on to the bathroom. And as I was walking out there was another gentleman there and he said geez because everybody like that guy so pleasant to be around I said sarcastically and wouldn't you know it that guy too was a little off and he was like I don't know is he stutters. The library was great staff was great the services were great the two homeless guys the cricket that it doesn't take anything just to be nice to another person is being nice is better than being rude but...
