Food was authentic & amazing. The service was excellent and I felt as if I was at my family's home in Jamaica. The variety & type of food items really makes this place special. And let me not forget to say how clean it is and all the food was covered.

So I have to amend my previous review because of a disturbing incident this morning 9.21.24. I went in to order and a woman was serving another patron. A child no taller than the counter was running back and forth behind the counter where the food was. Adding to that, he picked up the kitchen gloves that is used when chopping chicken or moving hot items and dropped them on the floor. He picked it up and still continued playing with them. At no time did the lady behind the counter admonish the child; instead, she looked at me and smiled as if the child's behavior was cute. As an establishment that is in the service industry, that behavior is not only unacceptable but it is also unsanitary. A child should not be behind the counter playing, hanging his head down in the steamed cabbage or picking up utensils and/or other items. I tried to speak with a manager and was met with "no manager nuh deh here now." Children should not be in the service area, so Fern Gully proprietors, go back to the drawing board and educate the workers you have on food handling and sanitary practices. Needless to say, I have been going to this business for roughly 2 years on a bi-weekly basis but after today's unbecoming display, I will not return. I live right across the street from this restaurant and my first time there was last Saturday night at almost 11 when I was very hungry. I have been back almost every day since (I’m ashamed to say).

The food is authentic Jamaican food full of flavor. I normally will have Jamaican food only once a month but I’m hooked for now until my appetite for island flavors is satisfied.

They may be a dollar or two more but it is well worth it. They have a lunch special in place and it is a decent size. I’m sorry some people had bad customer service experience but I promise you I have had nothing but stellar service. The servers at the window are very kind and always remember me.

This is a poor representation of Jamaica cuisine. The place is new and looks clean however the prices are not cheap. There were no specials when i went there. Staff needs proper customer care training. Food looked old.some look of the stuff looks made up the soup is so far from being jamaican. I wanted to buy something but everything looks like trash, seem watered down. The cakes are sitting beautifully out front looks well made and very delicious. Since they are new maybe they need time to step up but for now the prices are not competitive and they need a real jamaican old fashioned chef.
