La Granja — Restaurant in Lauderdale Lakes

I usually loved here and been going here forever about 4 years. I’m now pregnant order a meal for exactly $30 and one of them came without what I precisely ask at the window. Once my food was delivered before I left, I checked to see if everything was good like I asked for. Then boom it wasn’t, an elder lady came out to serve another car their food I stop her and stated that I didn’t get my sweet plaintains as I asked. Then one lady came out stating oh the food doesn’t come with that side when I precisely ask for it since I seen the picture of the meal before I ordered. She then walk with the side they gave me with the receipt. I waited in my car for about 6-7 mns, no one came out so I decided to get out my car and see if they will exchange it but no. These ladies literally let me walk back inside the restaurant and I’m telling them what I need they like ignoring me, then there was this nice young lady that was a customer as well seating down and watching me talking to them about exchanging the side. I’m not a person that likes to scream at people or be over too dramatic, the young lady which is a customer simply ask me what do I need from them, I explained it and she said are you serious standing here for over 10 mns to get a sweet plantains I said yeah then she got up and have them give it to me and told me to speak up louder to them since they seem to ignore my request. I got my sweet plantains thanks God and this young lady. Never again going to this place. Specially me being pregnant if I am paying for a food that I request I hope to get what I ask for. The price is not commensurate with the meal though. It's like $15 plus tax four a whole fish filet and 2 sides and 6 shrimp in gravy. The taste is excellent though, you may not be full but the taste is out of this world. I was addicted to this for a whole month. The downside is the staff speak very limited English so take a pic of what you want and use google translate if you need to add specific instructions.💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 I added this for safety reasons. THEY SEEM TO NOT BE FOLLOWING COVID 19 REQUIREMENTS . I bought a garlic fish and they charged me and told me to go wait in the parking lot while i was waiting the girl brought my meal to the wrong car. I then told her i was waiting for awhile for garlic fish she went back to the wrong car and took it and tried to give it to me. I decline due to covid 19 she stated the person did not open it i ask how did they know it was the wrong food if they didn't open it? She told me they only looked so i ask how do you know since you are standing by my for a period of 4 to 5 mins? She hissed and went inside to her manager she yelled in Spanish and the manager refunded me with the worst attitude. A mean i was a big supporter of them. I observed them selling the food i refused, that another random person opened and had for several minutes to someone else.
