BEWARE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!
This is a pretty restaurant but i donât see how they will stay in business. There are severely understaffed with just having two servers who are serving and taking orders at the same time. There were a lot of people picking up orders and waiting for a very long time just to pick up preordered food. We came and we were provided a very dingy printed out staples paper menu. I ordered the legume with Kabrit and a Corosol juice and I never got the juice and the legume was disgusting. I informed my waitress of it and asked her can it be switched for something that is the same price and she informed me that I cannot get it switched. Which mind you i did not eat it at all only took a poke to taste and that was it. The customer service here is horrible. We received warm tap water. And again waiting for literally 1 hr for them to bring us a to go box.

Read moreHungry Black Man featured this restaurant on his FB Page, and Iâm glad he did. Iâm in town with my family of 7 from Atlanta and Joyeuse is about 20 miles from the FLL airport, so we had to visit!!! This was our first experience eating Haitian food.
The menu was comprehensive and offered lots to choose from. As a result, I had many questions and my waiter was patient to answer them. I wish I had taken pics of the food, because it was plated very nicely.
Hereâs what we ordered: -Haitian spaghetti-a little salty, but lots of peppers and onions to bring in the flavor. -Black mushroom rice was offered with each of our platters and was a heaping pile. -Legimes with chicken was flavorful and stewedâŚI would reorder this over and over. -Stewed goat was a win as well. -My picky teens ordered the tacos and were in love. They said it had the right taste. -My sophisticated teen opted for a stew with conch and he devoured it! -The mac and cheese was the cheesiest and a different spin using penne pasta.
The ambience was relaxed, yet professional. The service was good. Our waiter tended to us and made sure we had what we needed.
Last, be sure to order dessert. The carrot cake and red velvet cake were moist and delectable. Please do try both.
Overall, a good service, flavorful food, and we didnât break the bank either. Look to spend about $20-$25 pp, but...
Read more5/13/25 marks my fourth visit. I ordered patÊ kòde with akra, meatless lalo with white rice twice and now meatless legume with boiled plantains respectively. Their convenient hours, clean and presentable space, decent pricing, honest time-estimates, courteous staff and fresh foods made with fresh ingredients is what keeps me returning. Thus far, their patÊ kòde is humongous and delicious. The breading has a sweetness to it. The meatless lalo and white rice comes with a very proportionate amount that includes fried bunan, delicious Haitian macaroni and sòspwa only for $23! It also was very appealing and smelled so good.
Thus far I am pleased and I hope that they can be consistent while getting better. I am very impressed with the fact that they offer meatless lalò and legume. Alot of Haitian restaurants say that they can prepare it with no meat only for me to find out that they lied. Deception and carelessness.
Lastly, my legume was prepared with FRESH ingredients that you can identify by its colour and...
