OUTRAGED! I regularly place mobile orders at this location, and I choose drive-thru since I have kids in the car. Today I placed my order at 12:14pm and didn’t leave until 1:40pm. What?! Absolutely unacceptable. Here’s what happened:
When I arrived, the line wrapped around the building, which was unusual from what I’ve seen before. I thought maybe it was just busy because it’s Presidents’ Day, but I soon realized that it was due to the lack of staff members working. When I finally pulled up to the window, one employee opened the window without saying anything, and then proceeded to go back and forth with the second employee about orders and other things going on in the store. I patiently waited to be spoken to so I could tell her I was picking up. Eventually she handed me my bag of [now cold] food, and told me she would remake my iced cappuccino since it had been sitting. I awkwardly accepted this offer, and reminded her that I also ordered a Valentine’s Day donut decorating kit. She looked at me strangely and walked to the back. Then she came to the window again and asked me to pull around the corner and wait by the store mailbox. I parked behind another customer who had been waiting there before me. We both sat there for so long that he just ended up driving off without his order!
This was becoming very frustrating, because I had food but couldn’t eat it without a drink. After sitting about 5 minutes longer, I decided to park and inconveniently run inside. I left my kids in the car, which I didn’t want to do in the first place, hence why I chose drive-thru. When it was my turn at the counter, the second employee said that she was just about to remake my drink. I told her that I’d just take the drink how it was, but I still needed the donuts. She told me that they’re frozen and offered 6 regular donuts. I explained that I purposely paid for the decorating box of 4 heart donuts, and that’s what I wanted. She proceeded to bag the toppings for me, and then brought me a box of 6 FROZEN donuts. 3 were rings and 3 were hearts. She began instructions on how I can put them in my oven and I stopped her right there. I said that I’m not heating up my own donuts and would wait for her to do it properly. She said it would take a few minutes and I said it was fine and would wait in the car with my kids and come back.
She shortly ran out after me with a box of donuts. Luckily I opened to check, as she just gave me 6 regular plain ring donuts that were already made. I quickly stopped her and refused this box. I specified (again) that I ordered the box of 4 heart donuts and wanted only that. She apologized and started warming up the original box of 3 rings and 3 hearts from before. While waiting, a third employee walked in (I think it was a manager), and they all started arguing in the restaurant. They were complaining about how nothing was stocked or ready and how they needed another person helping them with orders. The employee who was helping me yelled across the room that after she handed me my donuts, she was walking out and quitting. I thought the whole thing was extremely unprofessional, especially since there were other customers in the store besides me. After nearly 10 more minutes, she handed me the donuts and I left.
I’ve worked in restaurants for 10 years. I understand being weeded and understaffed. I feel sorry that these women were struggling, but this really turned me off to this location. Over an hour and 25 minutes for pre-ordered “fast food”?! Disgusting. I wish I could’ve cancelled my order and saved the...
Read moreThe advertising on the order menu is deceptive.
First of all, vegans can hardly find a menu to order breakfast items they can eat. In not fully vegan. I still eat fish and eggs, but everything is combined with meat and cheese, so it makes finding something for breakfast nearly impossible.
So after two failures at BK - McNab Rd & McD on Commercial & University; I pull in to Dunkin on University near 44th Ave. (to bad I wasn't in Pembroke Pines because the BK there serves Impossible whoppers at any time of the day!
Dunkin had no vegan sausage and offer me turkey. The woman waiting on people in the drive- thru sounds like she had the patience of a Saint (sarcastic) and sounded like she was bored and exasperated all at the same time. Imagine how she might warm up for the rest of the day if she came in with that attitude to start her shift.
So I ask about the avocado toast. The picture shows 2 slices of toast with avocado, and something on top that looks like bacon bits, so naturally I had to ask what was on it. According to the online description, which I saw later, it's supposed to be tomatoes and everything bagel bits, but the woman tells me that it only comes with the everything bagel bits.
Since it's the only thing I can order, I order the avocado toast. I'm expecting two slices because everything else on the menu matches exactly what's on the order screen, but after paying over $3 for it (online claims the price is $2.99, but I could swear their price said $3.98), I am driving out of the plaza only to discover I got 1 (one) piece of toast, contrary to what was advertised as that meal order on their menu board.
It was good, but annoying that they made this deceptive so people would believe that they were receiving 2 slices of toast, like one would receive for any sandwich order. I mean, why would I want to pay almost $4 for one slice of toast, when I could get a whole bag of bread at that price; 2 if I catch a buy one get one sale at Publix, and slab on the avocado and everything bagel...
Read moreI went to this Dunkin Donuts on the morning of Wednesday 1/20/21. The drive-thru was busy so I went inside only to experience extreme language barrier with the manager of all people. I simply asked for a small cup of Caramel Coffee with cream and sugar. Yet the manager somehow verbally responded "Latte" multiple times. I was highly irritated and was on verge of requesting to speak with another associate when the customer behind me had to shout "Small Caramel Coffee cream and sugar". At that very instant the Hispanic female manager understood. After that incident, I came back to patron DD on Tuesday 1/26/21 but only this time I went to the drive-thru. Welp, drive-thru wasn't any better since the hispanic male employee with the dreadlocks is not providing receipts or the correct amount of change (very sneaky). This employee need to be re-trained on cash-handling transactions, as it will significantly help him avoid discrepancies! Corporate should send a secret shopper to this location. I'll avoid and recommend others to avoid...
