I came in with my coupon on the back of the receipt. The one in which you do the survey and the coupons says” free 2 pieces of chicken and a biscuit, with the purchase a large drink.” I’ve been using these coupons for over 10 years at this same location, a time before those new kiosks. I love Popeyes. I even went to New Orleans, Louisiana and ate at a Popeyes. The first issue was with the kiosk in the restaurant. It’s very difficult for customers to place an order with this coupon. How do you order the 2 pieces and the drink, but then over ride the kiosk for the price of the chicken cause remember the chicken is free, I’m just paying for the drink. So I went and asked for help after many attempts to figure how to order. A manager came from behind the kiosk and helped. Second issue, I gave her my credit card to pay and when I got the receipt back, I was charged $6.11. I asked the first manager why am I being charged $6.11? On your menu, a large drink cost $3.54. How does that add to $6.11? Something is not right? I’m showing her the Popeyes coupon which clearly states pay for the large drink and get the chicken free. I’ve been using this coupon at this location for years. These coupons are not new. I don’t understand how they think this charge is correct. I really wanted the chicken so I asked for another manager because I don’t understand what is so difficult about a coupon that’s been around for years, and clearly a drink that cost $3.54 plus tax don’t add to $6.11. The second managers says, that’s what the register is stating. I said, it doesn’t matter what the register is saying, the price of the large drink is right there on your menu board and I’m pointing at the menu. Disappointed, I asked for a refund. It took too much time and constant explaining about a coupon that Popeyes give to customers when you complete their survey. Why do I have to explain it to Popeyes managers? Why do they not know $3.54 is all I’m supposed to pay according to the coupon? If the chicken is free, why can’t the mangers just key in the coupon? Why was this so difficult? Why can’t they think logical outside the cash register? The bill should have been $3.54 plus tax. Simple. It was the principle for me. I’m not paying more than what the Popeyes coupons says. I walked out without...
Read moreThis 3 star rating is because I ordered a signature chicken box that comes with 2 sides and a biscuit. Its suppose to be $6 plus tax. I noticed last time I ordered it it said $6 plus 50cents for one side and tax also. I went today and it read the same thing. I asked the manager "why am I getting a charge for 50cents extra when it supposed to be $6" ? She replied "its because one of your sides is mac and cheese". She said mac and cheese is 50cents extra for the small and $1 for the large. I explained to her that on the self-service register it dosen't say mac and cheese are extra so how do we know that?. She just raised up her shoulders and said "it says it on the menu board located on top of were they serve the food. I repeated again and told her , it dosen't say that on the self-service register. Again she raised her shoulders up and asked me if I wanted it. I said no. Just give me 2 sides that don't charge me extra. 50cents ain't much but the point is you advertised it as $6 with 2 sides and a biscuit. The sigh dosen't say exept mac and cheese. So imagine how many people there charging more money too. It adds up. The proper thing to do as a so called manager was to say"ow I'm sorry about that. We wasn't aware of that. We'll give you the sides that you chose because it's our error. We'll make a correction on our menu or notate it to the customer before payment " we will refund your 50cents back to you. Sorry about that. That's the proper way of handling a customer when it's your error on your menu. Please make sure you check your receipts carefully for over charges. ...
Read moreThis location is okay...especially being compared to the other ones in Ft. Lauderdale. This is probably the best one which isn't saying much because it could use some improvement starting with the customer service. A simple "may I help u, does that complete your order or your total is ....." is the basics...and you usually dont even receive that. Just a blank stare from the cashier, as if the customer works there everyday. The food is usually good and orders our accurately made. The main concern at this location is customer service.
12/21/2020 Ok, and addendum to the previous review, I know I'm a little late on this current review but I must congratulate great service when I receive it! About a month ago 11/23 I went to this Popeyes to pick up dinner after a long day at work (I'm a Postal Carrier, so you can imagine how long). So I walked in and was immediately greeted and I truly felt welcomed. The service was so good I wrote down both employees names, Daekwon and Travoris. They were both attentive to the detail of my order and also offered me something to drink as complimentary. Honestly it was the little things that impressed me. As a franchise the food can usually be about the same wherever the location, so what usually makes you stand out is the service and that night I receive exceptional service. Sorry I'm a little late on this post, I hope those two young men are still working there. Also, I am changing my 3...
