I visited Casa De Amore on a date night, excited to try a variety of dishes. We ordered the “Love Island Platter,” which is advertised to include four proteins (two premium selections) and three sides for $130. We chose fried turkey, crack conch, lobster, and wings, with mushroom rice, mac & cheese, and mixed veggies as our sides. We also added a fried snapper, listed on the menu as $26. Pricing Confusion & Lack of Transparency, Here’s where things got frustrating. The waitress quoted the platter at $156 and said the fried snapper alone would cost $60—more than double what the menu stated. That’s absurd, especially when authentic Haitian restaurants offer full snapper meals with sides for $35–$40, and I know one that charges just $28. When I questioned the discrepancy, the waitress couldn’t explain it. I asked for a manager, who told us they weren’t using the QR code menu, despite it being on the table. If that’s the case, why display it at all? What’s the correct menu then? It felt like they were making up prices on the spot. To make matters worse, they charged $25 each for the fried fish and lobster, on top of the $156 platter price, even though those were supposed to be included as premium selections. That “saved” me $10 somehow, but the math didn’t add up. Then came a $44 automatic gratuity for just two people. Ridiculous. Food Quality & Taste (Scores 1–5) Unfortunately, the food didn’t redeem the experience. Everything arrived cold or room temperature: • Mushroom Rice – 3/5: Flavor was faint. • Mac & Cheese – 2/5: Bland, barely any cheese. • Mixed Veggies – 3/5: Decent taste, but cold. • Fried Lobster – 3/5: Had a strange, dirty aftertaste. • Fried Turkey – 4/5: Well-seasoned and crispy. One of the better items. • Wings – 2/5: No seasoning, cold. The honey Sriracha sauce helped a little. • Fried Fish – 3/5: seasoned okay, Needed more marination and citrus. • Crack Conch – 4/5: The standout dish. Perfectly seasoned and fried. As a Bahamian, I appreciated this one. Drinks & Atmosphere The drinks were solid, mimosa punch for me, Moscow mule for my husband. The atmosphere was the highlight: DJ was lively, music selection was excellent, and the vibe was fun and interactive. That part deserves a 5/5. Final Thoughts The final bill came close to $300 for two people. I’ve dined at five-star restaurants across Florida and other states and never paid that much for a meal that underdelivered so badly. I won’t be returning no time soon. If we do it will be for the bar & crack conch. If you’re looking for top-tier Caribbean cuisine in Broward, I highly recommend: • Grace Restaurant • Pavilion Haitian & Caribbean Restaurant • Le Terrace Rooftop Restaurant • Greg’s Cookout I’d gladly spend $300 at any of these spots, because the food, service, and pricing actually make sense.

Came here for a birthday celebration and left with super mixed feelings about the establishment. When I walked in the young lady at the front was not in uniform like the others wearing a sweater and didn't even notice me because her head was down in her phone. Our party was medium sized and overall the food was good but the drinks left a lot to desired for everyone, like people left whole drinks undrunk. I ordered the grits with Salmon and breakfast potatoes on the side. The potatoes were so bland I had them sent back and my salmon was switched to catfish. I was willing to accept it until I bit into my food and realized the catfish was UNCOOKED so I also had to send that back. We had a pregnant woman in our party who was unable to eat her food because the description never stated the chicken and french toast was SOAKED in syrup, making it unbearably sweet, instead of the normal drizzle one would expect. When she spoke with the manager Taz about comping her meal that she did not eat, he told her he would talk to the chef and left. We had no idea what that meant and literally had to have our waiter Will, who was fantastic, call him over at the end of brunch to clarify if he was actually comping her meal or not. When Taz came back over he told her that he wouldn't be able to comp the meal but could give her 15% off her total. If we hadn't asked our waiter to flag him down he wouldn't have even done that which was very disappointing because we could see him walking all around the restaurant after they first spoke. I definitely think Taz could use a little trainer from Will on customer service. Place is super cute but the lack of professionalism ruined it for everyone, we won't be back.

I want to start off by saying this place is beautiful inside. The ambiance is wonderful the hostess was very friendly , the bartender Donisha was fun, kind and charming and she made my friend a specialty drink which came out delicious. I will say the menu is good. I had a party of 4 . 2 of us ordered the Rasta Pasta which should have came out to $22 because we added shrimp however, we were charged $27. My other friend got the Griot, she said was tasty and my other friend got a Caesar Salad and added grilled salmon and friend shrimp. They do charge for a 750ml of Evian water . $10.00 a bottle . What I did not appreciate was our waitress asking if we wanted the bill and how we wanted to split it and then explained how the Gratuity would be added however, the gratuity is not given to her. We all seemed confused and I guess by the looks on our faces she went on to explain that everyone else gets the gratuity and she only gets a %. So we felt like she was basically asking us to tip on top of the gratuity. With our 4 meals and 3 more drinks added we spent $200 even. I felt like it was a reasonable price but that last impression was distasteful. Whatever happens with tips and the gratuity should be discussed with management and not proposed to the guest. Other than that , I enjoyed the restaurant and would like to go back and I do recommend it . Their Pink Lychee Martinis are top notch!

Our experience at establishment is even worth the one star. It was our parents 55th anniversary (yes 55 yrs of marriage anniversary) it literally took 50 minutes just to take our drinks orders. It only got worse from there. After literally 2 1/2 hours of waiting our food was still not served, after that amount of time a lady came out and said it would be another 30 minutes it was another hour after that announcement and still no dinner served. Wr began to cancel orders as some of our family members began to leave. Eventually as the food still was not served the whole order was canceled. This place didn't just ruined a family dinner, they destroyed a once in a lifetime occasion that honestly most don't ever achieve. This is not a joke, 15 of our family members including our parents, went next door to Burger King at 11:00 o'clock at night to a burgers. Worse part was how horrible my sister who chose this place for this once in a lifetime special occasion felt. That's only the experience of the service, there is much more negative to this place, but I will be writing for another hour. Let me just say if you want a normal pleasant dinner and to be able to have a normal conversation with your party, this is not a place you want to visit. They had a D.J playing way to loud music and way to loud over the mic, the whole entire place just to loud. We literally couldn't have a conversation. I myself, left and went home with my wife, daughter and my two grandchildren before my sister and the rest of the family. So I still have to reach out to my sister to see if they had the gull to charge for anything. I will post once I speak...
