I’ve gone once and the food was ok. Just ok. It might have been better if it was hot, but it appeared to have been setting out for too long before it was brought to us. This might have earned them a 3 star but I didn’t feel like I had gone enough to know how consistently they produced quality food. I do, however, have a reason to leave a rating now based off of food AND personal interaction
On two occasions, I have noticed them removing comments on their Facebook threads. Sure, the business owners have the right the regulated conversation in order to foster the culture and environment they see fit. But on this occasion, I felt it necessary to share.
I tried to engage in respectful dialogue with no rudeness or vulgarity by simply stating inconsistencies between what they say and what they do. Not only did they delete my comments, as well as multiple other inquiries from other customers, but now I no longer have the opportunity to message them or comment in any way. If you squelch out a respectful dialogue of inquiry and differing opinion and, instead, prefer groupthink only - go ahead. We won’t be back and hopefully whatever small circle of influence this reaches will consider the choice. Shopping local is important to me, whether in Hattiesburg or Laurel. I’m glad the rest of Laurel...

Read moreIt would be negative 5 review if possible. My sisters and I made the trip to Laurel from Texas and Georgia, and Café La Fleur was recommended. The food might have been good if it had been served correct, fresh and on time. We do not know what happened; maybe our order was misplaced/lost and the waitress went with memory to recreate rather than just explaining the delay honestly, but whatever - it was a disaster. People all around us were being seated, served, eating, and departing while we waited. Waitress kept telling it us it was on the way, but when it finally arrived; the steak burger was over cooked, even burned, shrimp on one meal were cold, the crispy chicken salad came with grilled chicken and as she served it she said she had crispy chicken coming, and regular fries were served instead of sweet potato fries. Once the crispy chicken came the rest of us where finished eating.
AND then they started sweeping the floors around us. Totally unacceptable. No apologies, no comp, too bad if you did not like it. Will not return, will not recommend. We do not blame the waitress, we saw how hard working and attentive she was. We simply do not know what happened and no one was interested in...
