Arby's — Restaurant in Lawrence Township

Placed my order in the drive thru and then pulled forward behind 3 cars which were waiting for their food. I sat there close to 10 minutes before the driver at the front of the line got tired of waiting at the window marked "STOP pay here" and pulled to the second window where they took his money and handed off his food. I sat and waited at the first window while I watched two young women standing in the area talking but never coming to the window. At this point, I am completely disgusted so I pull forward to the pick up window and tell the young woman there that no one is at the first window. She tells me that the person who is supposed to be there was busy which I find remarkable since the parking lot had only 2 cars in it. I hand the pick up window person my debit card and she the calls for someone named Anne who responds with "WHAAAAT?" I was shocked! I looked at the pick up window attendant and apologized if my patronage was annoying someone. Then, I get home and take out my food... the curly fry box is only 2/3 full and my sandwiches were cold (presumably from sitting there while we in the drive thru waited for someone to ring us up). This has to be the most ridiculous Arby's experience right after the time that the Altoona location RAN OUT OF BEEF!! Someone needs to get their act together or close down. Employee behind the counter that took my order and boxed up my mac and cheese seemed bothered I wanted to order food. Literally dumped the Mac and cheese clamshell into the bag on top of my sandwiches. Before I left the counter, I grabbed some napkins and tried to clean it up since no one was available to give me a new bag. Same employee came back half way through clean up, leaned and on the counter barked about how hot it was, saw me cleaning macaroni and cheese off every item in my bag and asked "And what are you doing?" When I responded with, cleaning Mac and cheese off of every thing in my bag, she continued to lean on the counter and belched out "mmm sorry". With fast food, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and even if I am in a funky mood, I try and lower my expectations to an acceptable level of dissapointment. Somehow this encounter failed to even reach that lowered standard. Sandwiches were also put together in a manner resembling a slaughter house kill floor. Clean! Table was clean to eat inside. Looked like no one was there other than one person at about 3:30 on a Saturday but then about 10 people came in and the drive thru was steady while we were there. All the food was hot and fresh. It took awhile to get our order but that meant everything was made safer order and want just sitting in the waiting area for sale. Used coupons from newspaper and got 2 drinks, 2 curly fries, and 2 sandwiches for $10 total. Got the bronco berry - sweet and sour dipping sauce. Fantastic!!! Will be excited to order this in the future. It's good that they have diet Dr. Pepper, sugar free iced tea and light lemonade. It was nice chatting at the counter while waiting. We typically don't go here often but enjoyed the coupons and savings. Will go back for sure, especially if there are coupons available! Totally recommend going...
