Blue Lounge & Grill — Restaurant in Lawrence

I have Ben to blue lounge a couple of times and it was an exceptional experience great music and beautiful ambiance but the experience me and my group of friends had last night was horrible!! We had arrived at 6:30 pm and did not get our appetizers until 8:15pm Our meals also came out in increments first meal came out around 8:45pm so we couldn’t even enjoy dinner at the same time .The chicken wings appetizer was raw on the inside and they still charged us the full amount for them !!we had asked for side of sauces and got them when our food was done so we did not eat them and still got charged for them the pollo frito dinner plate was burnt on the outside and salty did not eat the meat at all ,salmon on the bandeja blue was not fresh it was super super fishy so it was old salmon didn’t eat that as well whole plate was also cold on arrival . The manager gave us a free margarita tower it was a nice gesture but did not make up for the service or the horrible food they brought out ! We paid 200$ to be treated like we was not important and the chef almost gave us salmonella !!! health inspection on food handling needs to evaluate what is going on in that kitchen !! If I could give a negative star I would give -110 !! I have pictures and videos of this horrible experience they are lucky I am no longer a state health inspector no more they would have Ben reported as soon as I clocked in !!!! They had me speechless and very upset by the end of this experience and I will never go to this...

Just received my food and oh boy don’t even know where to start. I ordered Una paella para 2s, chicharrón de pollo, and Chivo. Everything came up to $90 dollars.

I love to support local business and I rarely write any bad reviews, but I have ordered from this restaurant so many times before and is always a hit or miss. My girlfriend is pregnant and she likes the paella from Blue. That’s why I decided to give them another chance.

The Chivo we ordered never arrived, but they charged us anyways, the chicharrón de pollo was old and burned and the paella looked nice but it was bland. This will be the last time I will be ordering from this place, I do hope they change management and they start offering better quality service to their customers. After all this is supposed to be one of the better Dominican Restaurant in Lawrence. A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!! Don’t waste...

It was practically beyond words. So much fun to watch my girlfriend try to explain to the bartender (I'm really sorry that I forgot his name) that she was there to try many things on the menu. He tried to explain the amount of food that would be coming and it would be way too much for the both of us, but she just forged ahead anyway. He was extremely patient and accommodating and honest about everything. Even gave us desserts on the house. We walked out of there with more leftovers than I've ever taken home in my life. One of the most flavorful and amazing meals I've had. Can't say enough about the service and food. And they're about to do renovations. Can't wait to see the end product. They deserve more...
