J's Wing & Seafood — Restaurant in Lawrence

I'm a huge fan of Jay's. I've tried a number of their menu options, but I'm constantly drawn back to the wings. Jay's mild wings are your classic Buffalo wings featuring Frank's Red Hot, and moving up the spice level gets you a custom sauce that's reminiscent of classic Buffalo sauce and great Asian spicy dishes. He's got a ton of flavors, so you're sure to find something that works for you. Jay does them just right, so they're good and crispy without being dry, and they fall apart right as you bite into them.

This isn't really a place you can sit down to eat (though there are a couple of booths if you have no other option), so plan ahead and call in your order to go. I can't recall not having my food ready within 10 minutes when calling it in.

The fried rice is awesome, though a touch on the heavy side for me.

Do not buy food after 9:30. They will mess your order up just to get you out the door .1st time I bought from there and my chicken was raw inside ,couldn't go back cause they were closed. So the next day I called and explained my situation the lady didnt even care and said their is nothing she can do about it . Last night was the second time I tried them again , I asked for the chicken fried hard cause of my first issue . I go and pick up my order at 9:45 almost closing time and they gave my the wrong order! I paid for a $10.99 meal which is shrimp fried rice and wings and I got some teriyaki chicken and fries ! NEVER WILL I GO AGAIN ! EVEN IF IM STARVING AT WORK ILL JUST WAIT TO GO HOME AMD EAT! THEY DO NOT REPLACE FOOD OR MONEY EVEN IF ITS THEIR MISTAKE! Edit **jAnd yes it's the right one ,next to my job . Wanted to see what every one was talking about so I tried them out. I had a perch dinner with extra cole slaw and shrimp fried rice. My perch dinner was cold and hard like it was someone else’s order handed off to me . As far as the shrimp fried rice or was fresh, not and food, shrimp and rice was cooked to perfection . The cole slaw had way to much Mayonnaise. I did like how when I called do order they were polite. When I picked my food up the young lady showed me my order before she bagged it up. The pop choices is on the side where the customer picks up food so I was able to get my own soda. I will try something else on the menu sometime...
