I will never be coming back to this place and here’s why! Initially, the woman who was acted as both a host and a cashier welcomed us warmly (although she would soon switch up). Our server was not all that bad at first, but he was very odd when it came to asking him about menu items and when we were ordering our meal, making the table as a whole feel uncomfortable and confused. He neglected to inform us of all the food he was charging us for, instead attempting to pass it off as if they were complementary. For example, he asked my friend if we wanted any queso for the table, but regretted to inform us that he would be charging us nearly 6 dollars for this. Also, when I asked him if I could add avocados to my order he said no and that they did not have any, even though I was looking at the menu which said they did (I didn’t not argue though because maybe they were out). Soon after he came back and said they do have guacamole but to get it I would have to substitute the rice or beans that came with my meal. I politely declined the offer and explicitly told him that I did NOT want the guacamole. He then stared at me and then shrugged, walking away. Shortly after he STILL brought me the guacamole and presented it as if he were being nice and it was on the house. It was not until it was time to pay for our meal that we discover they added both the queso and guacamole to our bill. Upon the woman’s request I explained the situation to her and how were not informed about what the server was doing with our bill and she spoke to with me with attitude and disrespect, blaming me for the situation and exemplifying poor customer service skills. They turned what was meant to be a birthday celebration into unpleasant experience! This is too bad because the food was pretty good, but you can’t combine that with terrible customer service 🤷🏾♀️ I advice anyone who eats here be aware of what you are being charged for.
*Side note - All four of us are African-American women and were originally going to be seated toward the middle of the restaurant by the woman but our soon to be server instructed her to place us in the back of the restaurant sooo do with that information...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try this place after reading the stellar reviews. We were completely disappointed and frankly disgusted by our whole experience. When we walked in the whole building smelled like body odor! We had been to another place already that night but their power was out and we didn't want to have to find a 3rd place so we decided to overlook the smell. We were given salsa, it was completely tasteless, like chunky water. We ordered queso which was good, but the chips are paper thin and broke off in the thick queso every time we dipped. Our server dropped off our drinks and told us she was going to take the large party's order and be right back. DH and I have both worked in the food industry and we both knew what that meant, a 20 min wait to place our order and a 30 min wait while the large party's food was prepared. That's just what happened. Our food came out after theirs and had clearly sat in the food window for a long time. My order was wrong -- I'm vegetarian and the bean burrito I ordered came out with meat inside and the cheese and onion enchilada I ordered came out with meat sauce on top. I would have been better off not ordering anything but the queso. The beans were flavorless, runny, had hardly any beans, and for the first time ever, I experienced a bean burrito with black pepper as the only flavor ingredient. DH had enchilada verde and they were dry from sitting under the heat lamp. The side of rice was minuscule. After all the waiting, poor quality and poor service we weren't offered anything to make up for our horrendous experience. I honestly don't know where these reviews of the great food are coming from! Read moreI searched for Mexican restaurants in the area with good ratings, and this popped up. Having not been there before, we hopped in the car and headed out.
When we walked in, we were very happy with the decor, and the hostess was very nice. We were seated promptly and the waitress was very quick to bring us chips and what I considered a very good salsa. I loved the touch of spice and cilantro.
We ordered the Guadalajara and Fiesta Trio Fajitas, and with a short wait, our food promptly arrived. So far, we're on the way to a 5 star rating... Right?
The cheese enchilada was made with a yellow cheddar instead of white? Odd... How did it taste? Like a ball of grease and oil.
Before I describe my dish, I'll preface this by saying that I've lived in Panama & Spain, I've traveled to Mexico, Honduras, Peru, and Bolivia. I've eaten Latin dishes all over Europe and the US.
My fajita dish was hot, but the chicken was stark white and dry, like it has been cooked in a microwave, the shrimp had barbeque sauce on them, and the steak was flavorless. There was broccoli and carrot tossed in, with a little onion (improperly sauteed), and no peppers. It was undoubtedly, the worst Mexi-Asian stir-fried fajitas I've ever had.
I wish I would have had Taco Bell... It may not be real Mexican fajitas, but it would have blown this out of...
