Z's Divine Espresso — Restaurant in Lawrence

Edit 2/13/2023: I got a Great Big Mocha with oat milk this morning on my way to work. It felt light when the barista handed it to me, and when I got to work and took the lid off (without taking any drinks of it), it was barely half full and the taste was pretty bad. Very disappointing, I can never be sure of the quality I will experience when coming to Z’s.

Original review: Z’s had the best coffee in Lawrence for a long time. This location recently (within the last 6 months) lost the majority of their employees and since then the quality has gone down.

I believe the new baristas just need time to learn how to pull a good shot of espresso, so I will keep giving them a chance but recently their coffee has been less than desirable.

Love their espresso. Service depends on who is working that day. Most of their barristas are amazing. Had no complaints at all till about a month ago when they hired an individual who is pretty terrible to the customers. Consistently making drinks wrong and then very nasty when you ask for the error to be corrected. I actually had to change coffee shops so now instead of visiting Z's daily I occasionally make it in on the weekends to the 31st location. I would definitely recommend espresso at Z's just maybe the 31st location until they work out...

Great coffee says by my girlfriend.. I tried the smoothie 3 times and past 3 times I've gotten the wrong one... Sorry I love strawberry smoothies and every time I keep getting 4berry. And I go back to window to ask and they tell me it's strawberry. There's no way strawberry tastes like blueberries. I've had the strawberry smoothie here and it was fantastic. Which makes me want to get up in the morning and get the coffee. But now I don't really want to even go back....
