LaRosa's Pizza Greendale — Restaurant in Lawrenceburg Township

Let's start this off by saying that in my entire life, I have never left someone with a zero dollar tip, but this place has earned my first. Coming from a family that has owned restaurants worked at restaurants and some family still are waiters at restaurants, this place should be ashamed. We arrived and were told that we would be met with a 10-15m wait time with a mostly empty sitting area, but we're fine to wait as it was a close convenient food to our hotel. After being taken to our booth, the first hostess took our drink order. I ordered a fountain pop, and my parents ordered a strawberry margarita and a draft. After about five minutes, my drink was brought to me along with my mother's water and her salad. We drank, and she ate her salad. After about fifteen minutes, we started to wonder where their drinks were. So when our waitress for the first time came back around to get our order, we ordered and asked regarding their drinks. She said she's not allowed to run liquor, but she would go talk to the bar and see what the hold was. She then came back about another five minutes later twenty minutes after the drinks were ordered to tell us they had just started on their drinks. The bar was empty besides one person. After about another five minutes, they brought my father his draft and brought mine and my mom's food. Forgetting my father's. After another period of waiting, roughly five minutes, we asked where her drink was and his food. The answer? They were just getting ready to blend hers, and they messed his pizza up and had to cook him a new one. Ten minutes later she finally had her drink, which was so thick with ice and unblended it was undrinkable. After that we had verbally voiced our complaints around ourselves out loud and the waitress instead of making an attempt to resolve the issue or ask if everything was okay, avoided our table. We were frustrated but never rude to her she is a person after all and is just working and doesn't deserve that. Finally, he gets his pizza after almost forty minutes of waiting without the waitress even asking if we want refills. we ask for a box, and we head to the counter. When we arrive to pay both our waiter, the original hostess who initially took our drink order and our sections bust boy were in the back complaining and talking poorly regarding us not thinking I wouldn't hear them. We paid left and will never be returning. Happy to say this restaurant isn't within three hundred and fifty miles of where we live because it certainly would not last. LaRosa's has always been my favorite for so many years, can't get a better taste in pizza then LaRosa's, but lately this location has been late on deliveries and bringing my orders cold or messed up.but I am not going to completely complain. I have ordered there for many many years and these are my first issues ever so I gotta say they are all still great..the food is Amazing and when I done in there it's always a great time food comes quick service is great they're ALWAYS 👌 on top of their game and I always notice a manager actively out on the floor and checking into everything constantly. I worked in restaurants when I was younger for alot of years and managers sitting in the office hiding out ..lol .. not around to get fast help and especially when it's a cash register issue and you need a key there is a line .. keeps piling up co workers too busy it is embarrassing ..people start verbally complaining some are very mean ..not shy to say the most rude words....so when manager is always easily accessible it makes such a GIGANTIC difference. So I always notice that at this LaRosa's how Everytime I dine or even grab a carry out I see the manager ..so yes there have been a couple issues ..maybe new employee or something.you just never know ... I just wanted to be honest on my review so now I wanted to edit to be sure I shared my 98.9% of the time is just great ... They are always very clean the bathrooms are always pleasant smell nice and I can tell it's cleaned often because the garbage where paper towels from washing hands it is always partially filled and this usually is the evening when I dine..I am very OCD about cleaning so I notice everything when it comes to cleanliness in places.it started when I had kids and stuck with me ...so just because I had a few experiences unpleasant I wanted to share that these few times is over many many many many many many many many many years of ordering... dining in .. deliveries and carry outs and often..in the winter ..cold out I tend to do less on days I'm very busy have school..I'm a college student.... I'll order for us and the kids so they don't mess up the kitchen each kid cooking and let me share that although my children are great ..their good kids...2 of the 3 are not very fond of washing up after their done or if and when they do. Ughhhh.. I still have to clean it all .. so I order sometimes during the cold months up to 3 times a week. This LaRosa's nos a good...

The menu is pretty good and the food can be pretty good too, mostly the service is friendly and quick but last visit started off from good to awkward and uncomfortable. My server gave me the wrong information about the price of one of the things I ordered, brought me dessert before my dinner was served, I guess I should've told her that I didn't want those dippers until the end, I thought it was logical but clearly not, so my bad I guess for assuming dessert came after dinner. When I got the check, I was being charged for the most insignificant things including over charged for something she had told me the wrong price for, she said she had no idea and that it seemed like that was the price instead of the one she had given me before, as if that's okay to do. She took the bill twice to check what could be wrong, finally came to say only one thing has over charged. We were perfectly fine with bill, however we did not accept the wrong information she gave us only to bring us a high bill that we did not expect. Left the bill with us one last time and left, we wanted to pay and leave and she was nowhere, we took the bill to the front to pay, cashier said we had to pay at our table, when all she was doing was standing there laughing and talking with another employee. Wow, okay, well I turn around to go find my server who comes almost running saying loud YOU GUYS HAVE TO PAY ME! I'm like looking around at other customers like wow, was I running away without paying? The embarrassment! It was my first time bringing my friends from NY to this place and they were so annoyed and embarrassed they asked me to never bring them back. I'll have to find another place to dine when we wait to go...
