I had just called and I am visiting my kids godmother. We had a wonderful day at the park down here in the square of Lawrenceville. We wanted something quick to eat. We already been having some problems with DoorDash but that is not here nor there we actually stay down in the apartments close by the park, which is about two minutes away. We went to go and pick up our food because we didn’t want to wait so we went to go and pick it up that our food hoping it would be good and hot and ready . we sat in the parking lot. I ordered the food in the parking lot and it said the food was ready like at 11:13 so you know when putting your food on your lap you’ll know if it’s that hot or not, it was like a hot that was OK to put on your lap. It wasn’t very hot so that’s how I know that by the time I got home it was getting ready to eat. All my food was warm and almost cold the brownies were very doughy . Pizza was missing some cheese off of it, and it was two workers in there, a white Caucasian male and a African-American male as well . it was like a hot that was OK to put on your lap. Pizza was missing some cheese off of it and it was two workers in there a white Caucasian in a African-American with a nice white Caucasian girl in the front. She was very nice. I didn’t know her name but I did call the store and the so-called manager answered and said there’s nothing I can do about it because I put it on the hot wreck and it didn’t take that long for your food. I said even though you put it on a hot rack , I told the manger you need to make sure that this food is extra hot its no way possible that I get all the way to my house and my food is cold and I spent about almost $35 highly unsatisfied heating up what is left of our food don’t Go to...
Read moreA month ago this review would have been 5 stars... Not any more! I also want to say that I have worked in two different Papa John’s locations as well as a Domino’s back in the day so I understand the struggles that can be unavoidable at times.
We moved close to this location in March and have ordered from this store 6-8 times since (always online and always delivery so I cannot speak on any in store or phone interactions). The first handful of times, it was great! Always to us within 30-40 minutes (if not less), always perfectly prepared...
Then a few orders back, the delivery person (even though we unselected no contact delivery) was already back to his car by the time I made it to the door (within seconds of it ringing). My food was sitting on top of a citronella candle I keep on the porch. Unfortunately there was a dead beetle on top of the candle so it ended up also on one of my boxes. :( I decided to shake it off and try to enjoy my food just the same...but...for the first time, the pizza was slimey feeling.
I decided to give it another go a week later only to end up with more slimey feeling pizza.
Tonight, I tried again...desperately wanting it to be better. I went for my small pizza first. It was greasier than normal but not so slimey and so I was able to eat some of it. Afterwards, I went to open the cinnamon dessert box (which had the seal on it) only to find that a corner piece was missing from the dessert. I threw the entire thing away without eating a single bite. :(
I hope this location gets its act together soon!! Somewhere over the past 3-4 weeks, something has gone wrong. Before that, you guys were awesome! Be...
Read moreNEVER GOING BACK!! After being a customer of the Papa Johns on Pike Street for 8 years, they pulled a fast one on my husband and I so we will NOT return!! My husband called to order a pizza for me to pick up on my way home. Both of us always ask as soon as they answer what specials they are running. My husband was told none..so he ordered a medium pizza. When I arrived to pick it up, I noticed a MASSIVE sign right above the cash register that said, order a pizza get a pizza free..so when I was handed 1 pizza, I asked where the free one was. His words were, "we didnt ask for a free one". I told him I was asking for it now...he said you have to ask when you order. I double checked with my husband who did verify he specifically asked if they were running any specials and he was told NO. So I told the guy, "so you mean that when someone calls, without being here and seeing your massive sign, they have to tell you what the sign directly above your head says to get the free pizza?" His word were YES. My husband called back in...and as usual, whoever answers the phone IS THE MANAGER (we now assume they dont have a manager). The manager said he was going to put a free pizza on our account so when we give our phone number it would pull up. We called 2 days later to pick up said pizza, and as we suspected, there wasnt one... My advice, if you feel you MUST order from this particular Papa Johns, go in and order so you can read their sign to them. I figure they must be illiterate and...
