Been a loyal, long-time regular customer since the new owner and management took over in the early summer of 2016. This is mine and my ohana's (family's) favorite sushi and hibachi in Lawton since the original. We haven't had anything here that we didn't like still to this day. Some of my favorite dishes to order are a couple of the fresh made to order sushi rolls. Such as the Hawaiian roll ( I know big coincidence right 😅 lol ) usually anything "Hawaiian" means "pineapple included" lol luckily in this instance it doesn't this sushi comes with mango thankfully lol not pineapple and in the center of the sushi roll is fried shrimp. Another favorite item is one, not on the menu called we like to call avocado balls. It was a menu item from the original owner that the current management had graciously kept but does not have it officially on their printed menu. I order it every time. Another great dish other than the hibachi and its experience are the traditional lunch bento box. Only offered from 11am open till 3pm end of lunch that I pair w/ clear soup choice of fried or white/ steamed rice, salad, 2 piece gyoza/ dumpling served lightly in a sauce, 4 piece cali roll, choice of vegetable or protein and a piece of fresh orange wedge. Salmon or shrimp terriyaki bento is my go-to come lunchtime Tues.-Friday 11am-3pm. I highly recommend if you're looking for some good, fresh, quality, delicious, reasonably priced sushi, hibachi, and Japanese/ asian cuisine, look no further. Don't take my word, give it a try, and have your own experience. You won't...
Read moreWhen my husband and I read a review that said this restaurant had both delicious Hibachi AND the best sushi in Lawton, we knew we had to try it! After our visit, we both agreed we probably wouldn't be going back. Food was very middle of the road. Hubby gave the sushi a 5 out of 10 and proclaimed, "it was sushi". The Hibachi chicken and shrimp I ordered was...fine. It was hot and I ate it all. Small portion for the price, $20.99 (which is about what you pay for much larger portions at a Japanese steakhouse). The traditional Hibachi flavor was not there in my opinion. Everything (chicken, shrimp, & veggies) was covered in a semi-sweet brown sauce. The Vegetable Tempura we ordered as an appetizer was cooked well, but had zero flavor. They are NOT using their Hibachi "cook in front of you" grills at this time. The service was VERY slow, but everyone was very polite and apologetic about the wait. All-in-all, for us, the food was so-so and not...
Read moreThe restaurant itself was pleasantly clean upon observation of surfaces (chairs, booths, table tops, and floor). I ordered Crab Rangoons and Gyoza which were great, the Four Seasons roll was just okay, and the Philadelphia Roll was good. The miso was unfavorable, but maybe I had an old batch. I'm giving three stars instead of four, because my waitress walked out of the bathroom as I was walking in, and when I went to wash my hands when I was finished, the sink was bone dry, no water remnants at all in either sink (there are two), so I know for a fact she went to the restroom and did not wash her hands before returning to wait on customers. I even stayed in the restroom a couple extra minutes to see if the sink would dry up fast, and nope, there was still water splashes in there from when I washed my hands. Docking stars for the waitress not washing her hands after...
