Lovee's Cakes — Restaurant in Layton

Just driving by we noticed this new sweets/desserts small local business. I love me some sweets so we decided to stop by since their open sign was on. As soon as we walked in one of the owners introduced himself and shook our hands. He was very nice and you could tell he and his wife are very proud of their desserts. He showed us all the desserts and answered all of our questions.

Sadly they had no cinnamon rolls (my all time favorite dessert..def will stop by to try one when they have some fresh) so my daughter got 3 macaroons, the wife got a peanut butter bar, I got a cannoli and we bought a pack of potato chip cookies. I was a little hesitant on the potato chip cookies but oh my they were amazing. They are not overly salty and the texture and thickness was perfect. These potato chip cookies are delicious. My daughter ate all of her macarons and said they were all really yummy. The wife devoured her peanut butter bar and said that was the best peanut butter bar she has ever had. It was not dry and was very yummy. I got to try a small piece of it and it was very delicious. I have yet to try my cannoli but I’m sure it’s going to be amazing.

We definitely will be returning to try the many cookie flavors and cupcakes! Also will share with friends and family about this local business.

Suggestion - The website is not user friendly. Many broken links, navigation is broken, advertises only wedding cakes and cupcakes orders but no mention of single desserts or any menu of the desserts offered in store. Also the hours are different...

I had sat down months in advance with the owner and ordered my baby's first birthday cake. She had informed me that that Saturday was too busy for her because she had something else going on so we agreed on the night before to pick up my baby's first birthday cake. I called multple times the day I was scheduled to pick up, and got no answer or call back all day. When I got there she wasn't even there and she had no cake prepared for me. The lady that was there said the cake was never made. She didn't even call me after the fact, to apologize or offer an explanation. I was very upset that she didn't make an effort to make it up or apologize. She didn't make an effort to even acknowledge that she messed up. I have never heard back from her to this day. Thankfully she didn't require pre-payment and the grocery store deli was able to make a cake last minute.

We ordered a cake for my daughter’s 7 birthday and had to cancel because we could not make it out to Utah because of weather. We called her the day after we paid and said we can’t make it because of the weather and she said she already made the cake. We weren’t suppose to pick up the cake until Friday and she said she already made a cake on Wednesday and couldn’t refund. I called and left her a message Wednesday night asking for a call back and she never called back I had to send her a text Friday tell her I expect a call back by Saturday. She called back on Saturday and was rude and would not talk with out talking over me. No where on the invoice does it say that there’s no refunds. I said if you made the cake then send me a picture of it and she said that the cake wasn’t never finished even though that’s why she said she would not refund the money. So...
