Moonstruck catering — Restaurant in Layton

We ordered our entire Thanksgiving dinner from Moonstruck Catering and it was a total let down.

My wife just had surgery and wasn’t able to make a wonderful meal like she normally does. So we decided to just make it simple and order it. My wife found Moonstruck Catering after some research and we decided to drop the $150 that included delivery.

The meal came the day before and the kid that delivered it was nice enough to bring it into our home since my son and I weren’t home and my wife couldn’t move very well because of her surgery.

Later that night I let my kid try a serving of the Mac & Cheese & he didn’t really like it. I tried some of it and it was a bit sour. I didn’t think much of it other than it maybe not being the best tasting but we don’t normally have Mac on Thanksgiving anyway.

The next day we started the oven to heat up the food and opened the stuffing only to find mold all over it.

Today at the Layton park we got 2 frozen lemonades - one that tasted like water. We got a warm Coke from the bad boy burger truck. They were out of onion rings for the west burger that was $15. I watched the guy in front of me ask for and get fry sauce yet they wanted me to pay 50 cents per fry. The garlic fries are a gimmick it’s like 2 shakes of seasoning on shoestring fries. The burger was not great and it was cold. For no onion rings you would think giving a little fry sauce would be no big deal. We also tipped before we got our food which took about 30 minutes. Had I known it would be that long and that they would charge me for fry sauce on a $15 burger I would have not tipped. They had 3 food trucks there and we supported 2. ...

I hate posting reviews but I was disappointed. Ordered a Valentines charcuterie board since the photos they posted were beautiful.
