Center Court Pizza & Brew — Restaurant in League City

First, I have to say that we had a great experience at CC. That being said, I have to say a little about myself to set the mood here. I am not a Sports fan. In college, I worked for Pizza Hut for 3 and half years, so pizza rarely interests me. I usually only eat pizza when we get it for my kids. However, I do enjoy it more when I can get it exactly my way, or it's a specialty pizza. When it was suggested that we were going to a pizza place with my wife's cousins, I did the whole eye roll thing, "Gah...."

So the decor is all out Sports Bar, with TV screens going all the way around the place. The menu was not all pizza, so I did have trouble deciding what I wanted. We did order appetizers, fried mushrooms, and Firecrackers (fried jalapeño strips). The mushrooms were amazing and I did really enjoy the Firecrackers. The batter on both was perfectly seasoned. I could eat those mushrooms all day! I did order a pizza, Build Your Own style, with Italian Sausage, black olives, onions and green peppers. I don't really like the tomato sauce so I asked for a white sauce, which is Alfredo. I also tried their Center Court Home Brew. I don't drink beer often, and when I do, I prefer craft beers. They allowed me to taste a sample. It was a slightly dark beer, a tiny bit sweet, and I quickly nodded, I wanted a glass of it! I drank two. Lastly, I asked for the order of wings with the Korean Kicker sauce.

I will say that everything was delicious. And our waitress was really great, very attentive! Unfortunately, there were a couple of minor problems. Our waitress was having to run the bar as well as take orders from the tables near it. I could see she was very busy, so it was excusable that she forgot to put in my order for the wings and didn't change my pizza sauce to the white Alfredo. I wasn't upset. I was in a good mood, and my drinks (my beer and the spicy peach drink my cousin had ordered that she didn't like) had feeling pretty good. The waitress realized she had forgotten and was happy to fix it. I didn't expect the pizza to be replaced by the manager (who came out and spoke to us), but I did still want the wings. A whole new pizza and my wings were brought out and boxed up because we were leaving soon. I was sure to tell them that overall, I did still enjoy the experience.

I do intend to go back in the near future. I want some more of that beer and I would like to try some other things...

To be honest, I'm very upset with this service.

In the past, my friends and I considered this place to be a regular spot to watch sports and drink beer. Tonight we tried to watch the Texans game and hang out.

Our service was abysmal from the start. I ordered a salad with dressing on the side. When it came with nothing but spinach and pecans and full dressing, I mentioned to the waitress that I asked for no dressing. She responded with "well it will take at least 30 more minutes for that order to go through" so then I asked "where the cheese and bacon were?" To which I received an annoyed look..

When we got our tabs, I was charged with premium drink prices. Her response was "well the bartender heard you say crown and coke". I am not normally the type to complain and ask for changes so I didn't argue too much. Until our tab was twice the expected price. The happy hour beer prices were not included in our tab

I proceeded to the bar to ask the bartender about those prices... 15 minutes later she charges back at me and says "well you saved 2 dollars"...

I wish I could say this ended well since this is very close to my home and I very much enjoy the atmosphere... however, it was handled very poorly and all the waitresses almost ganged up on our table.

If I could leave no stars for this location I absolutely would! I Called to speak to a MANAGER about a slice order I placed for pickup and KRISTEN came to the phone! I voiced my concerns that the pizza rolls had little to no cheese and the boudin turnovers had hardly a little spoonful of boudin and no cream cheese. Well She argued with me that there was cheese in the pizza rolls and that their is boudin in the boudin turnovers and that they premake the boudin turnovers and that’s just how much they put in them and when I told her I wasn’t going to argue with her and that their absolutely was not enough boudin (or the cream cheese that it’s supposed to have as you can see) in them for the price for Four she insisted on arguing finally I told her I’d save them and would contact the general manger and I will be contacting my bank if the general manager doesn’t take care of the issue!!!! Pictures don’t lie and I made sure I didn’t open one turnover that way the actual general manager can open it and see for themselves!!!!
